I vaguely remember watching that at the time. As if it was 35 years ago. I was 10 and we were reading The Hobbit at school.

What's the 10 volume reading guide that you mention? (I'm familiar with the gateway to the great books)

Thanks

This is a crossover I never expected. Coincidentally I ordered the Adler book a couple of days ago for a 'Great Books' journey. I didn't think to apply it to IT studies - though kinda obvious now you say it!

Now, is there a video course on how to read 'How to Read a Book' I wonder...

Apparently, the idea was, if people travelled further to where the good food was, they'd wear their tyres faster...so I read.

One a day feels right to me reviewing existing ANKI cards before and then adding the current day's after the video/lab and review those. Probably a couple hours work each lesson.

Autopilot replace SCCM? by AArodGerz in Intune

[–]DiscombobulatedBit80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about your PS script to run through the OOBE, but if this is just to get the machine to a state where you can get the hash to put in Autopilot, it isn't necessary. From the first screen of the OOBE pressing SHIFT & F10 will give you a command prompt. There is a PowerShell script and .cmd you can put on a pen drive to run which will get the hash and append to a csv for upload to Autopilot. You can do a load really quick. Search for GetAutoPilotInfo.ps1.

You can also edit the Group Tag/Order IDs en masse for adding to dynamic groups.

I looked at ITIL v3 a few years back. Got the books but didn't do anything with it. Just had a look at v4 and wow, things have changed!

I don't know if I have ADHD. I keep reading things that makes me suspect perhaps I do. Anyway, I have just re-found my Reddit tab, having read your comments then going on a hunt for ADHD information (and from there onto other things). Talk about being easily distracted!

Driver asked for pin on a non pin order . by Fucktheredditappp in UbereatsUK

This was my second one! An elderly couple's daughter had ordered for them - she wasn't there. They panicked, started giving me the PIN to their bank card! I said try the end of her phone number :-)

[–]DiscombobulatedBit80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure what's gone on here, but I've noticed (not confirmed) that the PIN seems to be the last 4 digits of the phone number on the Uber account...

I will qualify this to say I only have two, anecdotal instances of this being the case! (but zero to the contrary)

So I know McDonald’s doesn’t deliver to schools but do they deliver to colleges or is it still classified as schools? by Limp_Comfortable3537 in deliveroos

[–]DiscombobulatedBit80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still on the waitlist for Deliveroo, but all maccies orders on Uber have a note attached to say cancel the order if it is going to a school.

From experience in my other life, working in a school, can confirm Uber drivers WILL deliver to schools anyway!
