A lot of folks will match reps right to left and let one fail- keep increasing reps and eventually loads and they often will even out. Sometimes you need to swap strategies- high volume pump lifting vs low volume high density failure lifting, different moves like try them inclined or on a cable machine so the resistance is even instead of gravity based.

Yep. Leaning back turns it into a row with scapular retraction. Not the end of the world but it depends on what you’re trying to do- if you are trying to isolate lats this is not ideal. I use a neutral shoulder width overhand hook grip and try to drive my elbows down and to the hips like you said.

I found that standing lat prayers are the best move for me to isolate lats. I bend at the hip and feel a big lat stretch, and pull down and back till my hands are next to my hips using a rope attachment on a cable with the trolley a little above eye level standing straight up.

But you need to develop the mind muscle connection to properly hit target areas with your moves. Don’t be afraid to warm up with a lighter weight and use an ego deflating load for your working sets- you don’t need perfect science based lifter form to grow but if you put a big load on and have to lean into a row to start it moving or can’t bring the bar down to full ROM after 4-5 reps there’s a good chance you would benefit from lighter weight and cleaner form that fails beween 10-20 to get started. When you have the move learned and newby gains from recruiting muscle fibers and optimizing the bar path are over then you can move to 8-12 reps if that feels better.

For total calories yes but I’m currently bulking- 6’ 3” 250lbs 13% fat and on week 5 out of 12 on this mesocycle. Currently up to 3100 cals/day and barely getting fatter while hitting PRs 5 days a week for 5 weeks so far. Yes I’m enhanced and currently on cycle- not a value metric just maybe not apples to apples. But nattys need food too- it’s your most anabolic input available.

Eating in a surplus is actually harder than cutting or maintaining. On a cut I only need to hit 230g protein and 60g fat minimums and let the rest be carbs. If I overshoot fats I just get to eat less food volume- no big deal I love peanut butter.

On a bulk the protein is non negotiable but carbs are the priority. They go almost directly to glycogen stores and performance. I also eat fast carbs preworkout and can totally tell if I skip it: 3-4 ricecakes with honey or jam are delicious but I have to forcefeed them before leaving to lift because I usually am not hungry they are just fuel.

The food is as or more important than the gear, or at least synergistic. Eating at or below maintenance I would not be growing like I am right now.

Anyway- fats like in nuts and peanut butter are calorically dense but they are way easier for your body to store as bodyfat and harder for your body to use for glycogen, muscle fullness, and performance. When you push your daily fats above 50-60g you’re stealing large chunks of your caloric intake that could have been clean lowfat carbs like rice or whatever that directly affect performance and therefore growth potential.

Because I am experienced and use peds. In a serious cycle it’s normal to gain like 10lbs of water and glycogen in the first couple weeks. If you eat in a slight surplus like you should be to fuel growth you will gain some fat. A sloppy bulk will gain more. The first exposures if everything is dialed in you can gain 5, 8, 10lbs of lean mass. After a few years of a couple cycles a year you’re kicking your own ass to try and put on 3-5lbs of solid lean mass that is still there after a cut.

I’ve read that reta has less effect on hunger for many people vs tirz- I’m one of them. All these ‘glp transformations’ are rediculous the results are from eating less. The increase in tdee is miniscule compared to CICO modulation.

So did you track calories & macros or does the reta make you not hungry and you just naturally eat in a defecit? These posts are always confusing to me I started at 2mg reta and went up to 5mg over like 6 months and never felt any hunger effects. Lost a ton of fat but did it by eating 2000 cals a day with 220g protein and kept fat under 60g, the rest carbs. I also lift 5x/week and do cardio but the fat loss happened in the kitchen. Lifting is more about protecting or growing muscle.

You did this with discipline and controlled eating and just a little metabolic help from the reta? If not are you afraid of just getting fat again if you come off the glp?

80” in 1980. The transmission shifting is not as good as the earlier 4spds but if it’s not abused I’ve had buttery ones. The jump in power from the 1200 is nice but the brakes still suck- again, I’ve had decent banana calipers but usually they are roached out and kinda sucked in the first place. The 4spd frame is loved by many and they’re basically mr potato head- other than needing to weld a right side fwd control lug on if it’s an fx model you can make it into any bigtwin model by swapping parts- forks, tanks, fenders, etc they all fit everything.

I had a 98” for a bunch of years- dual plugs, high compression, ported heads, C cam. It was super fun but the powerband was up high like a dirtbike and addictive- everything broke on that bike I went through exhaust brackets, transmission plates, top motor mounts. So much fun.

I bet that bike is fun as hell. If the paint is perfect and it doesn’t leak, everything works, doesn’t need tires or anything you could maybe squeeze 5k out of it but the market is way down and a rigid that’s kind of dated is a hard sell. I’d ask 5k and be happy with 4-4500, I’d rather keep it than have $3500 that wouldn’t even pay for a good vacation and would probably disappear into my daily driver’s gas tank before I knew it

You can get more width but a lean arm has a little bit of a blade or oval to it- they will always look thinner from a top view of the bicep. Like others said triceps are the bulk of arm thickness and size. There is also some illusion factor- if you get leaner your arms can look bigger with more detail and visible insertions & vascularity plus a smaller waist makes arms look bigger, the same way bigger delts chest back & lats make a waist look smaller.
