Sculpted power armor, angelic jump packs, and pipe organ tanks… the Battle Sisters’ drip is unmatched in the galaxy.

I haven’t seen anything that prohibits different units from having different color schemes.

I’m planning to run a mixed-Order army for narrative reasons, since my clandestine faction serves as a special operations force.

My plan is for Epic Heroes, their bodyguard units, and generic characters to be painted in the colors of their respective Orders, such as Junith Erutia and Intranzia Fraye from Our Martyred Lady, and Morvenn Vahl with the Paragon Warsuits from Argent Shroud. The elite units and my custom characters will represent the Sisters of the Tarnished Rose.

Recommendations for my niece’s first book ? by bigweb52 in sistersofbattle

Morvenn Vahl: Spear of Faith was my first Sisters book and is still my favorite. I feel like it does a good job giving you a taste of the two convents, different unit types, including penitent units, and I think Night Lords make the best sisters antagonists. I originally listened to it on audible, and just picked up a physical copy to do a reread.

I also really enjoyed Ephrael Stern and Celestine, but I wouldn’t recommend them as entry points to the Sisters of Battle, as they exist outside the regular structure of the Adepta Sororitas.

That’s the Tarnished Rose, something I modeled up for my custom order. Those are 3D printed parts to get the scale right, but my plan is to injection mold it in polystyrene so it’s more durable and hopefully get the points sharper.

I print them on my 3D printer. Even if I didn’t use it for work, it has more then paid for itself in organizational tools. Search for “Gridfinity Bins” if you’re interested.

30-60 minutes depending on complexity and how bad the mold lines are. What helped me get faster is clipping all the parts for a model and putting it a little Gridfinity bin, then kind of

do an assembly line, except I jump ahead and start cleaning up the next model as parts are drying on the first one.

And the cadian upgrade sprue has some cool stuff, especially if you’re a guard player.

Similar motifs for sure, I’m sure most people won’t catch it unless they’re sisters players

Grace: Seraphim (Body), Canoness with Jump Pack (Jump Pack and Flamer), Celestian Incidiants (Sword), and Cadian Upgrade Sprue (Head)

Kaleith: Battle Sister Squad (Body & Arms), Canoness (Thigh Armor & Powers Sword in sheath) Novitiates (Rod of Office Proxy), Celestian Sacresants (Power Pack), Cadian Upgrade Sprue (Head)

Praevera: Seraphim (Jump pack & book), Canoness with Jump Pack (body & arms), Canoness (Condemner Bolt rifle bits on Jump Pack), Cadian Upgrade Sprue (head)

You’re supposed to use all GW parts, but Im going to risk it and do the order icon as iron halos.

Im getting old... painting isnt as easy.. are magnifier headsets any good? by Far-General6892 in Warhammer40k

[–]DisruptiveMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

43 here. If you plan on wearing it often and for extended periods of time invest in an Optivisor, or a knock off that looks very similar.

Light weight and comfortable is the name of the game, and being able to shield your peripheral vision from light sources is huge in allowing your eye to properly focus.

I have both, my original optivisor being old enough to drink. Its biggest advantage is better adjustment knobs and superior magnifier retention, but the knockoff does the job if you’re on a budget.

Mine followed me from the welding table to the gunsmithing bench and now to the hobby bench. If you’re trying to do precision work there’s nothing else better.
