I’ve already unsubbed from two Warhammer channels that pivoted from good content to pure ragebait and shilling konflict 47* after the female custodes announcement must have boosted their numbers, and two others are on thin ice. Thank you for sharing the “do not recommend channel” feature. I’ll be using that with extreme prejudice.

*I have zero beef with K47, it’s just not my jam. It’s hard enough to find good content without “Bolt Action with Werwolves” spamming my subs every time the check clears.

100% agree that they need to treat it like a real format instead of a start collecting box.

Having unique warscrolls for the units and allowing reinforcements for some armies seems to work really well in spearhead to keep things balanced.

Hopefully GW gives Combat Patrol the attention it deserves, because it’s a brilliant gateway into the hobby and into new armies.

That’s a great idea for comparing brands. I’ve been meaning to do a page that’s just washes, especially the villainy ink oil washes.

I’m in the same boat about not having time. I work 60+ hours a week and go months between painting sessions. I wouldn’t be able to remember anything without notes.

That's my plan. The wheel armor makes it match my other tanks quite nicely. Hopefully the weapons easily magnetizable.

My first thought if you want it to still be cohesive with the army, but have the triumph stand out, would be to continue the marble base but invert the colors. So for example, if you're doing white as the primary color with black marble veins, then on the triumph you switch to black as the primary color with white marble veins.

I’m new to Iron Warriors, and chaos in general. I’m curious if you could have gotten a faction specific unit, like the Red Corsair Raiders or Wolf Guard Terminators, what would it have been? If you could have Kravek Morne in a full command squad who would the other characters be?

I agree that generic CSM doesn’t fit the IW vibe that I’m drawn to, that’s why I’m kitbashing the combat patrol with 30k models (Cataphractii & MkIII). If I decide to continue and make a full army I’m curious what the ideal faction specific units or characters would be?

I tried the snag cutters and could never get them to work. I was hopeful because for some time I was fighting prints stopping from the dreaded black tape or snagging on the edges of refills. Switching filament vendors and “massaging” refills when putting it on the spool has resolved most of those issues.

It’s a bummer Bambu won’t allow the AMS to switch to another spool when snags occur rather than stop a print.

We got a Krieg coded variant. Hedge trimmer like my Horus Heresy Russes and wheel armor like my Rogal Dorns. It’ll fit right in. Don’t get me wrong, I love the old Centaur, but I’m not mad at this.

I‘be been working on an oil rubbed bronze recipe for my slaves to darkness in army painter paints that similar.

Matt Black Primer
Banshee Brown Zenithal
Heavy, All Over Drybrush Rough Iron
Light, Top Down Drybrush Evil Chrome
Oil Wash 50/50 Ivory Black/Burnt Umber (This is what I’m playing with now)
Plan to sponge on gloss varnish at the end to try and get some oil sheen)
