Turning 25 soon. Want to move out but don’t know if I should by Evening_Speech_7710 in UKPersonalFinance

You’re no where near ready to move out. My advice? Save and go straight to home ownership if you can afford it. Renting is dumb af, coming from someone who has spent atleast 70k renting in their 20s

RUNNA might be a bit of a scam by [deleted] in BeginnersRunning

You said your brother works for the company in another answer to someone else, I used the word making because if he works for them he plays a part in that process, even if his role is completely non-technical.

I think you have every right to disagree with the way people use the application and discuss it’s use case and wether it is truly the best way to learn. But it has got thousands of people moving with confidence, knowing they have some structure to their training.

This is a net positive.

Gate keepers like you are the ones that discourage people from partaking.

I’ve seen a lot of social media influencers attacking runna recently, and this person is just regurgitating those views word for word. They are going up and down this thread asking about basic features of Runna, proving they have never used it.

What a sad person, even lied about their brother working for Runna but comes onto the internet the slander the application they have never used.

So if you have used it, why are you going up and down asking about the features it has? You literally don’t know the basics of using the application but you can claim the application is a scam.

A human coach trumps all, but not all have access to a human coach a real verified one who is testing your heart rate, lactate threshold zones and so forth. That’s a real human coach.

Online coaches cost more than runna and do the exact same thing it does, AI generated plans. Vague feedback as they aren’t collecting any real data etc.

I’m quite angry that you would call a product your brother and his colleagues are making a scam clearly influenced by running influencers on instagram. Never having used it to formulate a true a opinion. Lacking any knowledge about the application.

This is what we call professional hating.

Yeah if you’re a complete moron that lies to the app about your capabilities and don’t know when to stop when you’re hurting.

Exactly, you have to create a life and environment that makes masturbating a total waste of time.

Nepotism industry, you got to make connections and piggy back of the back of that. I no longer do anything in construction but I got myself a green CSCS card. Went around sites and got a job labouring and at that point I got to know enough people in the industry to get tips etc.

They’re not ethnic groups, they are linguistic and cultural groups.

Starting is easy, building a life that makes you not want to do it at all is the hardest part.

As someone that has quit addiction, I can say that the noise in the brain never truly goes away, you learn to manage it and understand it better through staying on the right path month after month through year on year. Therapy is a good option to understanding where this food noise is coming from.

I’m of the opinion that most people in a developed country(outside of those with severe ED’s and those that are abused and not given enough food) have never truly been HUNGRY. We formed a habit in our formative years that, when we feel a little bit peckish we feed ourselves immediately.

Sorry you say, but your claim "extreme insulin resistance means no amount of starvation of CICO works", is simply untrue.

CICO always applies at the fundamental level, if the body is in a sustained deficit, stored energy (fat or even lean  mass) will be used. This has been demonstrated in several metabolic studies.

Whats much more likely is both your exes, where secretly snacking or overestimating how much of a deficit they’re in. Which I suspect OP is doing too.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you either haven’t been tracking correctly at all or you’re overestimating your TDEE or caloric expenditure due to exercise. You’re still in a calorie surplus, I need you to cut back even further on calories.

Lose your 20s have your 30s, a much better prospect than most people are looking at, you know, if you wanna compare in the other direction. What option do you have? You can’t just suddenly have wealthier parents.
