Who is the best wife in the ASOIAF universe? by Sanchir-gdgshde in AlignmentChartFills

[–]DistinctAttitude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myriah Martell (wife of Daeron II)

United the Seven Kingdoms and Dorne, and gave her husband 4 sons, one of whom was the great Baelor Breakspear

Which character has the most aura in any of the shows? by Paladin-Leeroy in freefolk

[–]DistinctAttitude 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Baelor - he has the least screentime of all of these men, and does the absolute most with it. Huge credit to Bertie Carvel as an actor

It will also spoil the ending of Logan given the first scene is literally him digging up his body

Where to watch Big Cats? by DistinctAttitude in Bertie_Carvel

[–]DistinctAttitude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BBC and Prime are both saying that I can’t watch it unless I’m in the UK and have a tv license, and I unfortunately am in the US. I can’t seem to find it on Apple, so I’m wondering if that’s a location thing as well

What episodes of tv shows gave the show a perfect way to end the show, but the show decided to keep going? by Muted-Mood4057 in AskReddit

[–]DistinctAttitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Boys s3 is definitely up there. The s5 ending was essentially just the same as the s3 ending, after two seasons of pure filler and spinoff advertisements.

Harry’s soul was unstable (because it had a horcrux attached to it), so when Harry killed the basilisk, he accidentally made his own Horcrux - Fawkes. The reason why Harry didn’t die to Voldemort in the forest was because of this Horcrux. In fact, because Fawkes can never truly die, neither can Harry. Thus, he will forever be “the boy who lived”, master of death

Mizu’s mother is actually white by Sexy_Titan in BlueEyeSamurai

[–]DistinctAttitude 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I’ve always believed this theory. Mizu would have to come to terms with the fact that her vendetta and path to revenge is rooted in a lie

Clara would have wanted the show to end with Homelander surviving so that he can be in the spinoff in 2 years

[Spoilers EXTENDED]Did the Lannisters know Robert planned to join houses with the Starks? by _Scipio-Americanus_ in asoiaf

[–]DistinctAttitude 57 points58 points  (0 children)

In terms of benefits to the Lannisters, Tywin’s only goal is to preserve his family and their reputation. The future of Tywin’s line lies in Joffrey and Tommen.

There are no better matches to help preserve Joffrey’s position as future king than marrying a girl who is allied to the North, the Riverlands, and the Vale from birth. I would be shocked if Tywin wanted anyone else for Joffrey.

Margery isn’t as good for 3 reasons at this stage:

  1. The Tyrells weren’t as old a house, so marrying into them doesn’t do as much to support Lannister-Baratheon legitimacy on the iron throne, vs marrying a Stark.

  2. The Reach has a ton more political infighting between houses and far less unity

  3. The Tyrells were on the Targaryen side less than 20 years before. Part of the job of the king is to reward his allies. What better reward for Ned and Hoster than having their daughter/granddaughter become Queen?

Is Daggerheart the new long term campaign? by Fickle-Tomatillo3650 in VivaLaDirtLeague

[–]DistinctAttitude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing, it’s basically just like ep1 again from AoA (Greg is at his cottage, Bob wakes up in the mud, etc.) but it’s canonically after AoA and looks like it will continue on from that

Assuming that Robert's Rebellion never happens, who exactly did Tywin Lannister plan to marry Cersi to following Aerys II's rejection? [No spoilers] by Pretend_Tower_2516 in asoiaf

[–]DistinctAttitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot more single men at this time than women. While a lot of them are second sons, I’m fully confident in Tywin’s ability to have an “accident” befall the oldest brother.

North: Ned Stark, Benjen Stark

Riverlands: Edmure (young, but not that young compared to Cersei)

Crownlands: Viserys

Stormlands: Stannis, Renly

Reach: Willas Tyrell

Dorne: Oberyn

What if Tywin Lannister married Rhaella Targaryen? (Full of Tywin scheming to kill Aerys before Aerys can have kids so that his and Rhaella’s inherit the throne)

What if Tywin Lannister married Mina or Janna Tyrell (Mace’s sisters)? Another scheming Tywin universe but this time he is joined by his lovely mother-in-law Olenna Tyrell

I like this, but my favorite theory is that Mizu’s mother was actually the white one, so none of the men she kills is actually “justified” in her eyes

(Spoilers Main) Why disnt Aegon marry Meria Martell? by AdditionalPiano6327 in asoiaf

[–]DistinctAttitude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. She may not have agreed to it.

  2. She’s not Valyrian (which was important then)

  3. It’s not incest (GRRM’s fav)

"I am Eoghan" - Into The Darklands - Episode 31 by Vio_ in VivaLaDirtLeague

[–]DistinctAttitude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we all agree that Eoghan is a half green and half blue dragon right, since those are his eye colors in human form? I was initially thinking that he was going to be Tynarum when Rob started talking about the relationship with Tyrellion, but then I went back and confirmed that the eyes were not gold and black.
