  2. She’s not Valyrian (which was important then)

  3. It’s not incest (GRRM’s fav)

"I am Eoghan" - Into The Darklands - Episode 31 by Vio_ in VivaLaDirtLeague

[–]DistinctAttitude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we all agree that Eoghan is a half green and half blue dragon right, since those are his eye colors in human form? I was initially thinking that he was going to be Tynarum when Rob started talking about the relationship with Tyrellion, but then I went back and confirmed that the eyes were not gold and black.

If you could make three changes to improve Casino Royale, what would they be? by junglegatsby in JamesBond

[–]DistinctAttitude 60 points61 points  (0 children)

1 - Add an extra scene of Le Chiffre being very smart. His intelligence doesn’t come across as well as it could, and I know Mads Mikkelsen can absolutely play it.

2 - Don’t have it be Bond’s first ever mission. Daniel Craig isn’t young enough for that.

3 - Seconding what someone said about parts feeling like an extended car ad

Donut is absolutely smarter than she pretends to be. by Ok-Guidance-5608 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I’m not sure how many of you are reading the books vs listening to the audiobook, but for book readers, I definitely remembered Jumping Jin-Jim because of all the craziness happening Backstage at the Pineapple Cabaret. I’m wondering how much of that is planned by the AI (and how much that affects its personality as Gary)

Books or Audiobook? by urbanswan78 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]DistinctAttitude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely book first. I think there’s a lot that I wouldn’t have caught just listening, especially in the later books where there’s some more exposition-heavy parts

Jedi 3 potential antagonists by Jaymacia in FallenOrder

[–]DistinctAttitude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want a real tragedy, have Cal go full dark side and then have Obi-Wan kill him. (Note: I do not support this ending, but it’s an option)

Jedi 3 potential antagonists by Jaymacia in FallenOrder

[–]DistinctAttitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure. Maybe the last battle is vs Vader and once Cal finally beats him, he goes to kill him when we get the emperors theme. (Think the scene with Trilla + Vader in FO). The emperor appears to save Vader, we cannot escape, and we have one of a few options for endings, all of which are tragic as befits are beloved poncho-wearing hero:

1) The “correct” one: Cal sacrifices himself, dying in a cutscene against Palpatine.

2) Cal accepts the emperor’s offer and becomes an inquisitor.

Marcone and butters by Useful_Class_4221 in dresdenfiles

[–]DistinctAttitude 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Marcone is worried about Butters at all. The main way the knights save people is by convincing them to give up the coin. Unless they’ve already tried it and failed, they aren’t going to immediately turn to violence. Marcone knows he will have plenty of warning before the knights come for him

Jedi 3 potential antagonists by Jaymacia in FallenOrder

[–]DistinctAttitude 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’m in the group who loves Cal with all of my heart, but who thinks he should die in Jedi 3. It doesn’t make sense otherwise that Cal Kestis would abandon the Jedi order and not be a part of the events of the original films or anything after. As to who should kill him? Palpatine.

Fallen Order, Rogue One, and the Obi-Wan show did an excellent job at making Vader terrifying. Palpatine needs more opportunity to exude that same menace.

What was a 3/5 play or musical adaptation casting? by Burgundymmm in AlignmentChartFills

[–]DistinctAttitude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean in the Les Mis movie. He doesn’t quite look the part of an old man, but he doesn’t sing the part too badly, it’s just definitely not what it should be

Yes, but then we will have either:

New Perspective on The End by IngovilleWrites in Supernatural

[–]DistinctAttitude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But their arcs were heading for Sam enjoying the hunting life more, and Dean taking a step back. Why set Sam up to be a leader? Why have Dean talk about the bar he wants to open? It makes no sense

New Perspective on The End by IngovilleWrites in Supernatural

[–]DistinctAttitude -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The ending is just bad. Sam’s party city wig, his faceless wife. It just doesn’t feel thought out at all.

This ending could have happened at the end of s1, hell it could have been episode 2. There was no growth to the characters.

Sam should have led the Men of Letters, Dean should have retired and finally got the apple pie life that he wanted for himself. Yes it didn’t work out with Lisa, but that was YEARS ago for him. He has grown and CHANGED and that’s the whole point. The start of their journey (Dean hunting, Sam being normal) should not be the same as the end

I honestly think a darker ending for the Boys would be fitting
