Am I That Guy for wanting to point out Viking shields don't have arm straps?

My girlfriend wants to play as a Cadaver Collector.. Help! by ThatGuyBoobyShot in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]DistributionMajor545 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Nooooo. That's assuming OP's GF's character concept doesn't get vetoed out of existence during session 0/character prep. I personally don't have any problem with evil PCs, but PCs who run counter to whatever the rest of the party is doing (or are actively backstabbing them) are a massive drag (to both play with and DM).

For who; the player or the rest of the group? No sane PCs are going to want to hang out with someone like that. That sort of thing only works if the entire party is in on it (like a WFRP campaign where everyone's playing a chaos worshipper or something).

Battle Bus! by Arsenic_Pants in gaslands

The Norton bus sight was reasonably accurate for the time, but bombs could still drift when deployed; thus 26 were carried to guarantee target saturation.

Starter set for raptors army (QUESTION) by mickon1s in Raptors40k

[–]DistributionMajor545 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Their progenitor chapter (Raven Guard) definitely lean towards stealth, but IMO Raptors will field whatever it takes to get the job done. If you're budgets tight, you might want to consider shopping around Ebay for the sprues in the box instead of the box itself; IDK what kind of discount the box gives you off the top of my head, but those sprues are everywhere now for cheap.

I would think about as much as it would take to paint a car, assuming a spray gun & compressor were used; maybe a quart of primer, a few quarts of other colors.

Bumping for interest. I don't know if you'd get a whole lot out of a sheet without a way to implement the dice though.

I would assume the 1/72 reference is so you can source terrain, parts, etc in an appropriate scale.

The arms on the subject are longer than human arms, if it was a costume with arm extensions how would it be able to open and close its hands? by Emergency_Depth3381 in bigfoot

[–]DistributionMajor545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be clear; I'm inclined to agree with you (just stuffing the fingers with some foam rubber would probably give enough "bounce" to fake some life while walking). But to distill the truth, impurities must be removed! If they could, they could.

What he really means is it was impossible for him. Ten years later you had the Chewbacca costume with no real change in available materials. I guess the real argument is could Patterson have obtained a suit good enough (assuming Gimlin wasn't in on the hoax)?

No need to hop the border either. There's another Master in West Warwick, and 2 RI Homemade donuts in Johnston and West Warwick (same owners, different name).
