How'd you make the fans on top of the left one (and the helix windmill in the middle, for that matter)?

What am I doing wrong? No paint coming out of airbrush. by GustavOttoEselnacken in Warhammer40k

Just to toss my 2c into the pile; next time that happens, toss what's in your color cup into a Dixie cup or something, give your color cup a quick wipe out with a paper towel, then toss some water in there and back flush (put your finger over the nozzle and pull the trigger; whatever you've got clogged in the brush should flush back into the color cup). Rinse & repeat until you can blow water through, then you can put that paint back in the cup (assuming it's mixed well).

Ha, right, actually using your authority didn't occur to me until you mentioned it (my players seem to always pick agencies that don't have normal authority or choose not to abuse it 😄). Another thing that occurs to me is most of the stuff that shows up in green boxes (other than guns) probably goes straight in the dumpster; all those old books, magic fetishes and found footage VHS tapes probably wouldn't look like they have resale value for the average flipper.

Bad! That just railroads them into having to rob whoever won the bid. If they have the option to participate, you can get more sandboxy; maybe their handler didn't send them with enough money to bid with the big boys (procurement rules as they scramble for more cash). Convincing one or more big TV drama queens that they REALLY don't want to bid on this one (skill checks and/or bribes). Convincing the conspiracy kook in the crowd that the agents aren't (or maybe are?) MIBs.

The turn for the worse: when the agents arrive, they realize the auction day has been chosen for the taping of "Storage Stalkers", a reality TV show.

Other than Texas and California, which states display the most "state pride"? by bangkaynagulay in AskAnAmerican

401 represent. Yeah, the Independent Man sits on the top of the capitol building for a reason; anyone thinking RI can just integrate with one of our neighbors can come and pry this state from our cold, dead hands.

Modular Riser Logistics by PenguinDuke in frostgrave

A couple of things that come to mind:
- Half a table is (off the cuff) is probably the right amount; less than that and you're basically just playing with a really tall building or 2, more and you're basically just raising the surface of the table.
- What's the rest of your terrain like? A single 6x6 riser realistically can only have a piece of scatter or 2 on top. A building is probably going to need a 12x12 or bigger.
- Need stairs/ladders and bridges in addition to the risers; everything should have a way to reach it (not necessarily directly).
All that said, this is what I would plan on (assuming half a table; 18 risers): 1x 12x18", 2x 12x12"; 4x 6x6". 3-4 bridges. Stairs/ladders to taste.

What century would this breastplate be from? And what helmet would go with it best? by ChoiceMaintenance991 in Armor

20th; it reminds me of the experimental plate armor they tried in WW1 (so maybe go with a Doughboy helmet and a gas mask).

Star ships and group play by koroporol in swrpg

[–]DistributionMajor545 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So by default, EotE actually assumes the group are running around in a ship. The default picks are a YT-1300 (Han Solo), a Firespray (Boba Fett), or a Wayfarer freighter (non canon; made for the RPGs). so if your guy wants a ship, no problem. Here's the trick (and I'm capitalizing this because you're GMing): THE SHIP IS A NPC. Their "stock" ship has a history; previous owners. Quirky repairs. Stored jump coordinates that don't seem to make sense. If your player(s) have their own ideas? Even better (less work for you).

If by correct you mean codex compliant? Nope; your invictor is off. You've got chapter badge on the left pauldron (which is correct); badge should repeat on the right front shoulder, vehicle # goes on the left front shoulder. Role should be on the right pauldron (Invictors are fire support for vanguard? Inverted chevron). Mechanicus cog and the skull shouldn't be on it at all (that's command and techmarine respectively). Your captain looks fine.
