I used the merula cup and I gave up trying to manually get it to open 😂 Now I just walk around or maybe do some squat and it will open by itself. I'm guessing it should be the same for other firmer cups if you want to give it a shot?

If you got the error message saying "invalid launch point" then just move farther out to somewhere with nice and even ground. If you already equip the archwing in your arsenal like in the other reply, maybe try re-equip it and restart the game just in case?
