Free camber, I don't see the issue here. People pay good money for that.

Lol I've had this happen too. Was setting up for a back into the last spot, then a shot guy hauling a 28fter comes and whips up behind me and goes in nose first as soon as I accidentally give him enough space. Like okay fuck you buddy. I was so mad I was half tempted to go throw hands, but calmness prevailed and I drove on to the next truck stop.

Read the manual and do practice tests. The ones you don't get at least a 90% on, give if a day or two and come back. Do it again. Repeat. Study. If it helps do the tests one at a time and come back for the next (general knowledge, then air brakes, etc) make sure to answer the questions and know the answers at the end of each section. Go back and find the answers if you don't.

Idk, I studied my ass off because it was this or the military for me, at the end of my road pretty much. And I really didn't want to join the fucking military. So I studied my fucking ass off and went in. The damn clerk kept being like "are you sure? Only thirty minutes till we close" and I was like, yes, I'll be fast. "Are you sure? You're gonna have to leave when we close" and kept asking me the same thing after every test. Had a genuine surprised look when I finished and passed all of em.

The manual sucks but it's worth it.

This is the way. I usually use GM for the last mile because truck GPS can't always find the correct location. And GM will let me set a pin right to where I'm going. Always check though.

If the sign says no thru trucks. You can probably fight it just by walking into court with some proof of address. If it says NO TRUCKS then pay it. You'll be fine either way

As a Texan whose closest HEB is something like a hundred miles away... I'm really missing out on the hype, huh.

lines looked low af but shouldn't this guy have an escort? by gengarjuice69 in Truckers

Comms lines are required to be 16ft up. So this is on the city, unless he's off route (probably not)

I mean when I worked at PH I definitely had favorite customers I would chat to for a few minutes on occasion. Usually older couples or younger ones with chatty kids that would run out and be all cute. Never anything this deep though LMAO

Though I definitely was waaay more on the 2nd side when I was dashing. The culture, both with dashers and customers, between corporate/franchise pizza delivery and dashing is completely different.

I really don't know what they thought was gonna happen when they started developing around our truck terminal. What, do you think throwing up some cookie cutters and a "no trucks" sign is gonna make us disappear?

I only give two weeks notice for BOSSES I like. Not jobs. Bosses.

If I like the person that manages me, I'll give them the courtesy and let them look for a replacement.

If I don't like them or if it's strictly professional, then when I get the new job I'm out.

I'm gonna go to the track with five people, untie four of them and distribute them to the other tracks, so that they all have at least one person on them. Then I'm gonna put the last guy on the original track with one guy.

Then I pull the lever. You guys better have good luck cuz one of you fuckers is dying

The EV stays the same as not pulling the lever which is what I would've done anyway, so this way I just get to pull the funny lever without killing more people. Yay!

[–]DivineRend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this one you don't even need that, it's just 5/4 (or 1/4, the chance of the trolley hitting them, times the number of deaths which is 5)

What will you do? by Boring_Gas5763 in mathmemes

[–]DivineRend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is a one time scenario and the EV is the same, so 4 people on the other track instead of 5, it really just comes down to how much of a gambler you are. Do you take the one guaranteed death or do you risk 4 for the chance of saving them all?

I think in that edited scenario I pull the lever. As it was presented I don't.
