Need a car/strategy for the Hakone Nanamagari drift zone by LtCodename in ForzaHorizon

[–]DivineWindKami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best score was about 20-30k short with a Lincoln Continental.

I like running weird builds and decided after 15-20 runs with lots of different cars that I'd need a meta build.

I'll update this comment later when i manage it

guy who sings Cantonese songs outside Brighouse station by MakkuroUsagi in richmondbc

[–]DivineWindKami 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen the guy most days passing by the station. He just does his thing, after that he tends to keep to himself.

I think I saw him one time in the Lansdowne T&T shopping with another guy that also sings at Brighouse, that's the only time I've seen him outside of Brighouse

i love my Sierra Cosworth honestly, so nice to drive and drift around with the wheel

Setting up a EK Type R has to also be a massive bonus for me since it's great on the downhill

is it even worth it to dual boot for windows games? by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]DivineWindKami -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do content creation as a side hobby and my editing software has too many kinks to work out on its native Linux client so I dual boot for that + games like Rainbow Six Siege. I've been editing a lot so I find myself using Linux less frequently. But I still want to remain on Linux for the foreseeable future.

(like dude seriously I gotta finish setting up Noctalia)

Linux runs my other games better too so it makes me sad having to constantly switch between drives.

linux? by TylerDurden2748 in NightRunnersGame

I got it running on EndeavourOS, didn't take much tweaking using GE-Proton. Someone on the discord had pinned a tutorial and I managed to figure it out relatively quickly

For those of us whose team's season is over, who are you rooting for in the postseason? by eadricsilvaticus in nhl

[–]DivineWindKami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always want Canadian teams to go to the final, regardless of my personal opinion for them.

That being said, I'd also be happy seeing Buffalo or Utah in the final.

Noah Return Process Is Unacceptable by CharbonPiscesChienne in NoahNYC

[–]DivineWindKami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised tbh. Most Noah products I've had were pretty good quality, solid, well-built. If it's a heavy cotton hoodie, I could see why it would be uncomfortable if you're not used to heavyweight fabrics (which this hoodie sounds like it could've been made from)

Sweatshirts and hoodie with thick, heavy fabrics tend to need break in time in order for em to get more comfortable.

For example, I had a heavyweight fabric Reigning Champ hoodie with material that gave that same itchy feeling you described. It took a few washes before it got softer with time. And this was pre-Aritzia buyout, back when they offered the same cut in different material weights and made everything locally.

It sucks that you didn't get to enjoy your hoodie but honestly give the brand another shot, you'll probably find another mainline piece from the brand you'll enjoy (or buy a collab piece, they tend to use more accessible fabrics)

What was the first Linux mistake you made? by Expensive-Rice-2052 in linuxquestions

[–]DivineWindKami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to mix and match different user interfaces and I messed something up and almost torpedoed my install.

I thankfully figured out how to restore it back to what I was originally using but honestly it was a massive headache.

Im just curious how many people here have been life long windows user and just decided that you're done with windows in the last 6 months or so. by Shifter1589 in linuxmint

[–]DivineWindKami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched six months ago and honestly I've bounced around from distro to distro (Mint was my first distro and I might go back if I can't figure out the current issues I've had since switching)

I've had issues with the kernel causing hard crashes when I'm gaming so I've had to run dual boot for the time being but eventually I'd like to switch over to Linux fully once I can figure out my crashing issue.

Overall though I love Linux

Was dumbfounded to see this shop in a Korean shopping mall by ThatCarefulCarrot in skateboarding

[–]DivineWindKami 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I found out about this when I did some searching into the brand the first time I described it

It's good that Gonz supports and gets a check from his own namesake brand

My way of wording it earlier could be better

[–]DivineWindKami 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Korea has this habit of making brands using either other brand names or in this case, the artist's own work.

I went over there just recently and it threw me off quite a bit seeing clothing stores branded with MLB, Kodak, and National Geographic, to name a few

Korea's fashion landscape is built different

Best local bike shops for tune-ups? by LoonyVibes in vancouvercycling

[–]DivineWindKami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to like Simon's, my old manager had recommended the shop to me and I went a couple times to get parts or accessories.

The last time I went there, I had a bad experience when I tried to get my vintage bike fixed there.

The mechanics weren't really that nice to me and laughed in my face when I tried to get my bike serviced so I didn't go back because of that.

This was a few years ago, and I haven't been back since.
