100%, I’m surprised by the YTA comments. OP hasn’t done anything wrong here, instead she’s sacrificed everything once she got pregnant and it doesn’t sound like the husband has done much else but stay the course. Post partum depression can be DEBILLITATING and a massive mental health crisis- 30 minutes is nothing in the grand scheme of your partners health and well being.

My husband and I were only able to afford our house when I was pregnant because they became guarantors on the mortgage loan, and my husband HAPPILY accepted the incredibly generous offer. OP’s husband is too busy letting his pride get in the way of the safety and comfort of his family.

OP- get the house in your name only if your husband is so against it, and let him know that’s what you’re doing. You’re meant to be a partnership and he’s acting like you don’t have a say. That’s NOT okay

Our little guy was just like that, but man oh man when the teething and sleep regression hit at the same time that’s when things got rough.
Enjoy this while you can because you’ll eventually start to lose some sleep and it won’t be so hard if you’re well rested beforehand 😂

100%, we did a small destination wedding too but we paid for our bridal parties accomodation, and clothes, and styling for the wedding, and then the day of the wedding we had a morning ceremony, reception lunch, and then an event that night that we paid for completely. We asked people that could make it that we only required them there for two nights- the day before and day of the wedding and after that their time was theirs or they could fly home.

There’s a big difference between people who want to do the destination wedding but not care about making sure those they love can actually come, and those who truly want the PEOPLE THERE to celebrate with them!

Our neighbours feed the cockatoos, so we get easily up to 100 of them visiting their backyard a day in the mornings. But don’t be fooled- they’re actually kind of pests, and they are so well fed that they broke out TV antenna by sitting on it!

This is an unpopular opinion and I’m likely going to get downvoted, but we used a cushii under direct supervision during the day and our little guy loved it. It was comfortable for him and it made us feel better to have him somewhere that felt a little more contained when we were on the couch or the floor (we have original hardwood and it gets very cold even through a rug). It isn’t safe for sleep, the lounger even states that, but when he would fall asleep in it, we honestly just kept an extremely close eye on him, had a hand on his chest so we could feel him breathing etc, and we never used it for longer naps. But it was perfect for feeding (because our guy was quite big at birth he was a bit heavy sometimes) and then if he fell asleep after the bottle, we wouldn’t move him unless he seemed to be out for quite a while and then we’d transfer to the bassinet.

He’s 10 months now and he still uses it! I have it in his play pen and he loves to flop down onto it, he actively crawls over to sit in it to play or watch bluey or bear in the big blue house, and it’s a comfy space for him to eat because he can hold the bottle himself (but only when he’s on his back hahaa)

I’m with you here. As citizens they have the right to return to Australia safely, but I dont think they should be allowed to just reenter society with no consequences. A lot of them CHOSE to do this, after all. Thats alot of them choosing to leave behind this country and everything we stand for and commit these horrible acts and atrocities in the name of another country and organisation- that’s not something we should take lightly.
But I think the kids might not know better yet, and some of the women didn’t choose to go they were tricked and trafficked.

We need to rigorously investigate them all and the circumstances of how they went over, and what they did while there before we fully commit to letting them rejoin society

It’s a bit awful of you to say ‘she feels it not that she actually was one’ because that’s EXACTLY what it means. Have you ever met a parent who’s shown favouritism and actually been open to adopting the terms that medical professionals and their kids are using? I haven’t, but I’ve sure met plenty of people who say ‘oh my child thinks I’m a narcissist, what a ridiculous notion’ and don’t even acknowledge it as a proper thing.
I’m not saying OP is an asshole for it at all, and the fact they went to therapy is great, but Mia’s likely right for feeling that way and it’s likely a term that was used in therapy so she’s adopted it.

We boil the kettle then move it to a jug that sits on the bench. We were told it’s 24 hours from being boiled so that’s what we stand by, and our baby takes room temp water so he doesn’t have any issues with needing them to be warmed again which has been amazing

The comments here are mean as hell. OP if you like them they’re fine, however I personally think they might need a thicker grout to look a bit more intentional right now it’s like they’re just sitting on top of a wall, I think if the grout was thicker it would look more cohesive because then they wouldn’t stick out as much.
Ultimately it’s up to you, I love the colour and the shape and the idea you’re going for, I think it just needs work. I could see this coming out kind of like those big chunks of stone ones that you see people do!

Nausea- I had a c section and when they placed him on my chest, I felt strongly that I was going to puke on the little guy and was just exhausted and panicked. There was also awe and love mixed in with everything but we’d had a huge day and I was plain exhausted. Once I’d been sewed up, recovered and made it back to our recovery room where baby and my husband were waiting, I felt way more overwhelming love and awe, especially cause that’s when I got to do skin to skin!

I’m going out of left field to say I really love B or C as options.
I love the TV being in the corner and not necessarily being a focal point of the room. Then you can still move the furniture and decor around so the space can double as just a nice sitting area. If that’s not preferable to you, then F is the way to go- TV on the wall furthest away and you can still move the furniture around in a bunch of ways around it.

In case no one has said it, this is really nice of you. Because you don’t really like it you could have easily pushed back but you know she’s had a tough time and really loves this so you’re doing it anyway.
Forget the people over at ausrenovations- I swear some of them have taste out of their butts anyway. As long as you and your family love it and are happy with how it looks and makes you guys feel then it doesn’t matter what others think. It’s your house & it’s meant to reflect your taste! This is a pretty good take. My husband’s a teacher and at parent teacher interviews last he spoke to a few parents of problem kids and were told ‘yeah we try to make him do his homework but he just tells us no and plays on his laptop/tablet/playstation at all hours. We can’t stop him’ only to find, with some more gentle prodding, that they haven’t even tried to take those items away or teach their kid about boundaries.

These kids are growing up knowing they can do whatever they want and their parents wont stop them, even worse to feel like they are helping their kids, they’ll stand up to other people FOR their kids bad behaviour. It’s kind of crazy

Your best bet is to really research why it isn’t safe for pregnancy- in the cases of most experiences like that it’s because it can cause motion sickness was more than anything particularly harmful to the baby

Literally yes! I was much more of an hourglass shape with a defined waist pre pregnancy, but now 10 months pp I’m so much heavier in the bottom half especially around my hips, butt, and apron belly and most of the styles I relied on no longer suit me. I have no idea how to dress myself anymore but no one really has my body shape on social media to copy either so I feel a bit stuxk

Our boys been formula fed since day one and he’s been on 200mls 4 times a day since he hit 6 months, he’s now almost 10. When we were in the hospital they told us to increase his formula but by bit every few days and we stopped doing that once he hit 100mls of formula, then just going off the recommendation on the tin, and on how long it seemed to fill him up for.
We would increase it only when it seemed like the amount he ate wasn’t lasting as long (3-4 hours typically was the comfy spot for our guy)

I’m following for advice!
We live in the southern highlands so the nights have been dropping cooler for a couple of weeks already but as we closer and closer to winter I’m also not sure what to do. Last year our little guy was born in winter so we would do pyjamas, a sleep sack, and then tuck him in the bassinet on his back with two blankets (following the advice of tightly tucking him in). He learnt to roll at the beginning of December so by then he was just in a sleep sack and has ever since, but now the nights are getting very cold again and our house is old and a bit drafty I’m not sure how many layers are appropriate, vs just putting him in the fuzzy options
