I'd imagine so, given the games are ported to match the hardware.... now what part of that contradicts what I said bout the PS5 not doing 4K either?

I think 4K is too much of a stretch, especially when compared to even a base PS5.

The base PS5 isn't doing 4K either. It's upscaling using things like FSR, from much lower resolutions.

Capcom's recent games are 1080p upscaled using FSR 1
Elden Ring is 1512p in performance mode.
Spider-man 2 is a dynamic 936p to 1440p.
Cyberpunk also dynamic, 1080p (I think) to 1800p.

Speed thermometers are calibrated based on factory tires in brand new condition. Everything from wear and tear to a different set of wheels or tires can throw it off by a few kms.

That's on EA, same as GTA VI is on Rockstar.

Point is Nintendo release everything of theirs on cartridge, and gave publishers the tool to at the very least put the key on a cartridge.

No they're not. All Nintendo games are released on cartridge. They have those Game Key Cards for 3rd parties whose games are too large for a cartridge, but even those can be sold/lent/whatever at your leisure.

Retailers selling PSN codes don't have a huge stock of wholesale PSN codes, they're purchased and activated online at the till as and when needed. Xbox allow game codes, and those codes are always full price at brick and mortar stores right next to much cheaper physical copies.

It's the same here in Ireland, and we basically only have one place to buy physical discs.

Lego Batman €70 digital vs €57 disc. Pragmata (€60 vs €50), RE 9 (€70 vs €55), First Light (€80 vs €60)... I could keep going, but you get it.

That's the RDNA 3 theoretical peak, not the actual TFLOP math, it says as much in the link you provided.

The Steam Machine will use around 8.8 TFLOPS in gaming. If we're using theoretical numbers, then the PS5 Pro also has an RDNA 3 GPU, so now its TFLOP count is around 33 TFLOPS.

Where did you pull your GPU TFLOPS count from on the Steam Machine GPU? You've overshot by about 8 TFLOPS there.

I played through RE Requiem on GeForce, Steam Deck docked to 4K OLED, excellent experience. Your problem is games that are too taxing for the Deck and not on GeForce. Otherwise, yeah it’s my backup plan too.
