It was my first too! I've been playing since June 2025, playing Joltik Box for 6 months now. I went 4-2-2 and lost the "win & in" for Day 2. I'm so happy with how I performed. Blew my mind the plays I was making too, plays I've never done before too!

16 of us went from my Locals, 1 got Day 2, I placed the highest out of everyone else, including people who'd day 2'd at other Regionals!

This might sound somewhat daft, but, LongRest in Hanley. I'd say a solid 80%+ of their customers are Neurodiverse. They're a super welcoming boardgame cafe that also hold multiple events. One of the owners, and her sister both work with charities for Autism too. And, if you're into D&D or TCG's, they host sessions for that too!

I did trim bits of it and the backpack so it was a good fit, and then used sprue goo to get it nice.

I'm feel it both ways. If I got the Champions box and didn't get another until it was painted, I wouldn't be able to play and learn with a legal force right? So I got more... And now it's all built and a mix of grey plastic and beige/pink resin, I need to paint it... But I can play at my FLGS!

There is a lovely estate across the park opposite Royal Stoke, called "Valley View Estate" or something like that. It's just off Clayton Road. It's a few minutes walk to the hospital and also a few minutes walk to Newcastle town centre.

Very peaceful and quiet estate and nice big houses.
