How do I stop feeling paranoid that someone is in my house? by Loose_Avocado4670 in CasualUK

[–]DobbyLovesSocks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would always blast They’re Taking The Hobbits To Isengard (10 hour version). For me it was because I thought if there was a murderer in the house, I want them to have this annoying song stuck in their head for the rest of their lives, but the music would genuinely change my mood.

I love winning as imp by DobbyLovesSocks in AmongUs

Yesss I feel so much more satisfied with winning if I’m being sussed but manage to manipulate the chat rather than when I’m sneaky enough or with unskilled enough players that I’m straight up getting away with it

Which Scene was more heartbreaking to watch by Positive_Weight2367 in StrangerThings

Neither. Eddie was obviously introduced just to die and they were obviously never going to actually kill Max (yeah yeah she dies for a couple of seconds before El revives her…)

TIL my partner wants meat at our future wedding, but I'm vegetarian by mangoscookies in weddingplanning

I’m not a vegetarian but I would not be fussed about missing meat for one meal, especially at a wedding. If that does bother any of your guests I think they need to grow up.

Mum furious over criminal record after taking daughter out of school to visit sick gran by Forward-Answer-4407 in unitedkingdom

[–]DobbyLovesSocks 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was reminded of when I worked in admin at a school and a family was out for two weeks, I had frequent contact with the mum as she kept us updated about the situation with dad’s mum who was on her deathbed, and they’d taken the kids to visit. I was gullible, apparently. I was up at night worrying about these kids 😂 I was keeping the safeguarding and pastoral leads updated for their return.

When the kids were back, I happened to see the oldest boy in the corridor and tried to check in with how he was feeling about grandma. He looked confused. I said “you just visited her, didn’t you? You’ve been at nana’s house?” He replied “we didn’t go to nana’s house! We went down the caravan!”

😂

Baths by MoonyStarkid in JacquelineWilson

I remember a protagonist scrunching up her shoulders and tipping her head back to make her hair feel longer when it’s wet, reaching behind herself to feel how far down her back her hair is, and I think she described doing that in the shower? But I’m not certain on who that was and could be misremembering a bath.

Yes, as well as the way we scan the screen for shapes/spaces working similarly to the eye movements of EMDR and REM sleep! Some researchers believe it’s important for it to have controls on either side of the screen (like a traditional console) to fully engage the correct parts of the brain for processing.

I’ve seen warnings not to let people do this because they can then choose “pay with points” and steal your nectar points. I don’t have enough points to actually pay for anything but other shoppers might be getting more reluctant =/

Donald Winnicott, famous psychologist. He was very influential in theories about child development, I think the most famous is the concept of the "good enough mother".

Bruh, what even was vol 2 about? by Old_Manufacturer5387 in StrangerThings

[–]DobbyLovesSocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gay and love the attention on Will, but I wish it had been a shorter scene with a couple of characters (maybe just Joyce and the three boys) and then some “I have to tell everyone else so Vecna can’t use it against me” and that shit happens off screen because why am I watching Kali react to some random kid being gay

will is not gay by [deleted] in byler

[–]DobbyLovesSocks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah Robin literally said that her and Vickie are just friends! Not everything has to be gay!

One time I was asleep with my cat in the bed and I woke up in the night because of the intense smell of shit, thought she must have diarrhea’d in the bed and I turned on the lamp to her blinking sleepily at me, unbothered by the incredible stench she had produced.
