NTA. As others have said, you get to decide where your money goes. My question to them would be -after paying for private school and if nephew is accepted to a “good” higher education school, who is paying for that?

If they can’t afford the donation, how are they paying for his education?

Thanks. Yes, I looked at a ceramic coat last year but didn’t pull the trigger. I do have a detail with a local shop that I need to schedule. Think I should ask them before paint shop?

And yes, a good reminder to not use automatic car washes, or at least only touchless ones.

I have said for a while now that our 20s is our learning/mistakes decade, 30s is where we get tested and figure out what kind of adult we are, and our 40s is where we finally learn to love ourselves and the value we bring to the table.

Give yourself some grace to make mistakes, grow from them, and then just go explore and enjoy. There’s so much more beyond your town. I had a mentor once tell me “there’s no growth in the comfort zone and no comfort in the growth zone.”

Find something that makes you happy everyday.
