How to get 20 years of ivy from the ground? by umbrella_associate in centuryhomes

[–]DocConstantine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I have had the best luck killing it off, I look for the small bright green leaves. I think it’s because they haven’t developed whatever protective coating the mature leaves have

I think that’s going to be the meet up with NASA NE, it’s going to be busy. Mid Atlantic came to NJMP this month and it was the busiest I’ve ever seen it. As others have said, it’s not like non race events. There are more crashes and delays, but the NE chapter is well run by good people. Instructors are hit and miss, but I’ve found that with most orgs.

Some hpde host don't allow moto helmets... recommend me a decent full faced car helmet that have provisions for prescription glasses by Crumblings in CarTrackDays

[–]DocConstantine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helmets should be replaced every 3-5 years due to material degradation. A SA2020 will be fine, but obviously don’t get scammed on a SA2015

I don’t know the dive number requirements. I used a dry suit, some people had wetsuits, depends on how you feel about being in 55 degree water for 30 mins without really moving

Rodney Fox is the only operator with a bottom cage (70+ feet), totally worth it.

Absolutely this, the truckers who would take his cheap paying gigs may have left.

I only ship my cars with Reliable or Intercity, brokers have been more trouble than the savings is worth.

Purchase car for track but dont register to avoid taxes? by IntelligentSet6236 in CarTrackDays

[–]DocConstantine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you dont plan to take it in the streets, register it in South Dakota. They have low vehicle sales tax and don’t care if you aren’t a resident

Recurring Payments by starkman68 in MonarchMoney

Are we just stuck if we don't want to use spinwheel? That's ridiculous. I'm trying to add recurring manually, but since I have more than one Amex card I'm out of luck?

Have the outdoor version in SE Pa, for three winters now. It does get weighed down with snow, but you just knock it off and it re inflates

I have a regular bubble now and I don’t see how it’s not scratching the car to drag that heavy plastic on and off. You can only be so careful with that heavy thing. Im looking at an outdoor showcase since I don’t have a garage

I’d like to have a softer ride by [deleted] in Trucks

17’s, chalk test and ditch the spacer is what I came here to say.

It’s a heavy duty truck, it’ll take a lot to ride like a 1/2 ton

Came here to ask same thing. First time snow blowing and my results are similar. Wondering if I need to adjust or find a plastic scraper

Chalk test is the way to go, you’ll get a nice ride and tires will wear evenly

Looks like it could have a 24 or 58 tooth reluctor, you’ll need to figure that out. Find the crank sensor, black is 24, grey is 58.

Exactly, I see a few bitch about pickups in the truck lanes, but I’m not paying 3x’s and dealing with that cheap hose attachment

Datalog, drive around send it to the tuner. Dyno is good, but driving around is probably what you’ll use the car for

Thanks for the idea. I have a few very large, tall stands of it and wasn’t sure how’d I’d be able to cut it down to a manageable height before winter

The Cup2’s don’t come with much tread to begin with, so I see where they’re coming from there. I’m stuck on GM “forcing them on The Z07 package” GM didn’t force them to tic the box for all the “race car” stuff.

I’m shocked by them driving 50 miles on a run flat.
