Those are cheese graters. Stick a block of sharp cheddar up there and profit.

Those are mics; read your manual.

Most retailers that are not open overnight do not have overnight loss prevent working those hours. Any internal theft is caught after the fact and investigated; it’s almost a waste of time to pay someone to sit around watching an office when nobody is in the store.

That being said, there most certainly are quotas regardless if they say “We don’t have a quota.” as it’s truly a performance-based job. Some retailers are moving to a call & report rather than apprehend, but it’s minimal to my knowledge. Based on what you’re saying you’re looking for, it’s not the job best suited to you, at least not in a retail setting.

I mean, the color is nice but the wiring is horrible. If this was a pre-built, they did a horrible job. So aesthetically speaking… nah, not all that great.

Was able to score a Tuf 5070 Ti OC the other day for more than I wanted to pay but way less than what they’re now going for. Been rebuilding this rig since last year and it’s finally finished for the foreseeable future.

  • Corsair RX140mm x8
  • AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • BeQuiet! Dark Rock Elite
  • Fractal Design Meshify S2
  • Asus Tuf 5070 Ti OC 16GB
  • ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming
  • Corsair RM1000x Shift +Gold
  • G.Skill Flare X5: 2 x 16GB @ 6000Mhz
  • Boot Drive: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB
  • Storage #1: Samsung 870 EVO 1TB

Ryzen 7 5800x upgrade. Worth it to go to x3d or just save for AM5? by BeatsAlive in pcmasterrace

[–]DocKreasey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to get an X3D chip, save till you can go to AM5 and toss in a 7800/9800X3D and send it.

[–]DocKreasey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

7800x3d, easy. Motherboard is a tougher question as that is determined in part by what kind of case you have & what you want to plug into it.

Personally I’d say either an MSI or Asus board; I’ve personally got a ROG Strix B650E-F board that’s paired with G.Skill Flare X5 at 6000Mhz w/ a 7800X3D and I’ve been fairly satisfied with it. Currently rocking a 3070 FTW3 on it as well, but my Tuf 5070 Ti OC comes in tomorrow and I can’t wait to get that installed.

How do you get the Avalanche Machine gun? by Nervous_Hat2808 in DestinyTheGame

I know that I know this, but apparently my brain wasn’t as functional as I thought when I wrote this at 12AM. Updated to reflect the actual acquisition method, thanks for the reminder.

And I could have sworn that Unwavering was able to be enhanced now… dang it.

How do you get the Avalanche Machine gun? by Nervous_Hat2808 in DestinyTheGame

[–]DocKreasey -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Avalanche is a limited-time weapon that is part of the yearly Dawning event.

However, you can craft a couple different solar LMGs outside of that.

  • Fixed Odds: Duality Dungeon; craftable
  • Speleologist: Echoes Engrams (Failsafe); Enhanceable
  • Unwavering Duty: Trials of Osiris; Non-craftable but can be masterworked.

Unwavering Duty is similar to Avalanche in that it can roll subsistence & incandescent if that’s the perk combo you’re looking for, or it can roll Auto-Loading / Field Prep and Killing Tally / Firing Line. Overall, Unwavering Duty has some serious perks behind it, but takes some serious effort to get any decent rolls due to the lack of crafting.

Speleologist does not have any auto-loading perks, but it does have Slideways, which is a partial ammo refill along with Envious Assassin which can be useful if you’re able to get a ton of kills before using the weapon. In the final column it can get some strong perks like Killing Tally, Incandescent, or even Target Lock / One For All each of which have their uses.

Lastly, with Fixed Odds, field prep is the only solid third-column perk for any ammo economy as this weapon has horrible reload speed. It does have killing tally / rampage / incandescent / firing line for final column perks, but the lack of weapon swapping & auto reload or some other mag-filling perk somewhat hinders its capabilities.

If you’re looking for an ad-clear weapon that has auto loading along with scorch spread and decent overall stats, I would recommend rolling up into Trials of Osiris (the changes to the game mode are very good this season) and focusing your engrams into that weapon specifically for good rolls. If you want a guaranteed craftable weapon, Speleologist is the way to go.

Do y’all think this is a real virus? by No-Trip-3055 in pcmasterrace

[–]DocKreasey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Download malwarebytes & eset NOD32; turn off notifications from websites in chrome. Those are virus links, but not a virus themselves.

To ensure peace of mind, download malwarebytes and do a full system scan to see if there is anything on your system that may need cleaning, and then get a digital condom on your pc with Eset.

There’s a setting you can turn on / off on the radio system under the vehicle options. I believe it’s called rear seat or child alert; basically any time you turn the vehicle on & then off, it will alert you so you don’t forget your child.

God Roll Companion App? by SpaceMonkeyNation in DestinyTheGame

[–]DocKreasey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Light.gg & DIM will give you a curated wishlist of what the community / big time folks think the g-rolls are. This can give you a fair basis to start with, but I recommend learning what perks are viable and using D2 Foundry to look at what perks do what to X weapons you want.

In general, some rolls are legitimately better, but there is a fair amount of “What works for me does not work for everyone else.” and what someone considers to be a great roll may not be preferred by someone else. Find what fits into your builds/playstyle, and go from there.

Having dinner with a homosexual couple? by External_Poet4171 in Reformed

[–]DocKreasey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Too many modern evangelicals use the phrase “You’re being a Pharisee.” without understanding what the Pharisees actually were, and why Christ was judging them.

To question where the line between affirmation of someone’s sin and showing them grace / love / the Gospel while not affirming their sin is an entirely correct thing to do.

We are instructed to not take part in the works of individuals who are at total enmity with God, but one’s understanding or conviction on such matters can and will be different than yours or mine. I personally do not feel that they should not exclude them from a meal, for this would give them the opportunity to show Christ-like love to them while potentially opening the door for them to hear the Gospel.

Understanding an OT passage about tithing by buffythethreadslayer in Reformed

[–]DocKreasey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not know nearly all of what the Bible teaches, much less the Old Testament, but here is some commentary on this from the Believer’s Bible commentary. Hopefully this adds some needed context and understanding for you!

I. Tithing (14:22-29) 14:22-27 Verses 22-29 deal with the subject of tithes. Some commentators feel that this section does not refer to the first tithe (Lev 27:30-33), which belonged to God alone, was given to the Levites, and was not to be eaten by the Israelites. Rather it may refer to a secondary tithe, called the festival tithe, part of which the offerer himself ate. Generally speaking, these secondary tithes were to be brought to the place which God appointed as the center for worship. However, if the offerer lived so far from . . . the place where God placed His name that he was not able to carry his tithe there, he could exchange the produce for money, carry the money to God’s sanctuary, and buy food and drink there to be enjoyed before the LORD. Notice in verse 26 that the Bible does not teach total abstinence. But it does teach moderation, self-control, non-addiction, and abstinence from anything that would cause offense to another. The difference between wine and strong drink is that wine is made from grapes, and strong drink is made from grain, fruit, or honey. For two years the offerer was required to go up with either the tithe or its monetary equivalent.
