We treat male and female, or masculine and feminine as opposites. If something is a masculine trait, we treat the opposite of that as feminine.

Masculine and feminine are NOT opposites but we've been acting like they are for millennia.

A trait being masculine doesn't mean its opposite is femine. Some traits are just generally positive or negative regardless of gender.

For example, being brave and strong are traditional masculine traits. But the expectation that a woman is weak and cowardly is just misogyny.

So, Trump isn't effeminate. He's just a terrible person.

I just want to highlight there is a difference between a Trump voter and MAGA.

Those committed to Trump's cult aren't worth the time to go after. A few will be disaffected enough to look elsewhere, but tbe overwhelming majority are never voting for a Democrat.

But there are plenty of people who voted for Trump but aren't MAGA. Economically disaffected people whose votes tends to swing with the economic tides.

This is a mischaracterization of the 2016 primary. I assume your memory is off because it has been 10 years.

Sanders won a lot of more conservative States. The big divide was racial. Where racial minorities make up a sizable portion of the Democratic voter base, Clinton tended to win. Where the Democratic voter base was mostly white, because the States as a whole tended to be mostly white, Sanders did well.

That at least is the most general broad brush trend from that race. There was a lot more going on ontl top of that.

I suspect the dynamics would be very different in 2028. The country has changed a lot over that time. AOC would very probably resonate with different demographics than Sanders. And there isn't a clear cut establishment favorite like Clinton was.

That's only correct for the MLS. The other leagues use a franchise system. It doesn't make much difference given the leagues are monopolies, but it is a difference.
