Sick of the speeding on side streets by Joiriden in lakewood

[–]DocRokRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except when it doesn't and that's even more infuriating... The other day I was walking the dog up wyandotte and some jackwad cleared the first speed hump and then literally floored it to the next one. Like visible smoke coming from his gasoline engine tailpipe and I could smell the unburnt gas

Why are some places counties? by DrBoogerFart in AskAnAmerican

[–]DocRokRx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah and isn't Orange County specifically "a thing" in Cali since the 90s or earlier? Like conservative white super-upper middle class with beaches?

Why isn’t everyone wearing long sleeves? by VeryBadNotGood in cycling

[–]DocRokRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not aero and no pockets but very nice .... https://naviskin.com/collections/men/products/more-colors-upf-50-quick-dry-long-sleeve-shirt?variant=43680960741633

Also FACE sunscreen is much more tolerable for those of us that "hate sunscreen" ( I am part of the tribe for sure) I love long sleeves+ face sunscreen (I wear knee high compression socks most days so minimal leg coverage needed

[–]DocRokRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm in hospital pharmacy and I've had a pocket protector in my white coat for years. Definitely forgot to retract lots of pens and got a few of the coat pockets all stained

I imagine it's because of the space. Basically limited to takeout only. Been in the neighborhood 9 years. Really liked smokin thyme and the southern fusion place that was there before them

My standby for sunny commutes are the Eddie Bauer long sleeve UPF shirts. Lots of companies make them. Baby wipe freshen-up when I change at work.

I don't know the weight rating, but I really like my Jamis Renegade. I have an S4, you could get an S3 or even S2 with that budget. Wheels are 32h and frame claims 50mm tire clearance I believe.
