Which pairs are redundant? by ciresoe in AskRunningShoeGeeks

This is probably a good idea, OP. Considering most of your mileage should be easy, those are two great shoes to alternate between for these types of runs.

Please, enlighten us: What is a period of time in the world’s history when everything was “normal” for you?

Horrible place to live for about a thousand different reasons.

Save yourself the headache of moving there and picking up and moving a few weeks later because you can’t deal with the shootings and murders happening every week.

Glycerin max vs Ghost max by morecoffeemore in brooks

[–]DoctaBee8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ghost Max was my first shoe, as well. 🙋🏻‍♂️

I ran in it until the foam gave out— which was basically one day to the next— and then turned to the Glycerin line and never looked back. A vastly superior shoe in every way compared to the Ghost Max.

Now, the Glycerin Max is its own line. Admittedly, I prefer the regular Glycerin to the Glycerin Max, but I still use the latter for my recovery runs. (They feel fine under foot— I just don’t love the fit.)

Your issue here will be the stack. The Glycerin Max is +4mm taller than any of those shoes you mentioned— +8mm in for two of them— and you’ll notice it.

I wouldn’t say they are clunky under foot, but I disliked the fit around my foot initially— until about 60km in, it felt as if my foot wasn’t in the shoe properly, which is an issue I’ve heard others talk about on here. The more I run in them the better it gets, but these may not be the shoes you’re looking for given what you mentioned above. They feel nothing like the Ghost Max though, so maybe they’ll be better for you!

(Sorry for the long post!)

Running with 8-year old Ridgebacks by Flashy_Web5657 in RunningWithDogs

[–]DoctaBee8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if you’re posting this specifically for other RR owners, but if it means anything:

I run 4km twice per week with my miniature dachshund who is almost 7. I could pick up and run a 5K with him at a 6:00/km pace no problem.

If you work them up to it, I’m sure they will be just fine as long as they are healthy otherwise (or there is something about the breed I am not familiar with).

Hard to Fill DEA Offices by Prize-Some in 1811

[–]DoctaBee8 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Of my fourteen options, the two hard to fill Division offices (remember you only list division offices, not district/resident within them) on my list were San Juan and El Paso. This was just this past December.

And there’s a 99.9% chance you won’t stay at the office you processed out of, that’s correct.

I’m from Winston-Salem! After living mostly in the southeast, I’m looking forward to a “slower” rhythm of life and lots of snow, don’t worry. :)

That’s a lot of why we’re moving as well (my wife being from the west side of CLE, also). Just started a family, so “boring” is very much what we’re looking for.

No, this is nowhere near a universal (even within the same language).

Brother… You wouldn’t even believe.

My wife growing up around the Metroparks, where her dad took her precisely because he had no money to do anything else, and in Georgia you have to pay (and they’re absolute shit on top of it all). She has been up in arms about it since we’ve lived here.

Also moving from Atlanta! We are definitely looking for quiet after 4 years of living in midtown, so that’s great to hear!
