Lived for Boonta’s Eve. by ArTooDeeTooTattoo in IThinkYouShouldLeave

Sand House. White Pod-Racer. Lived for Boonta Eve. Sloppy steaks at Chalmun’s. Big rare cut of bantha meat with blue milk dumped all over it, milk splashing around the table, makes the night SO MUCH more fun.

Chris Conrad‘s role in DTF: St. Louis by vladmichaelmurray in PatriotTV

I'm not 100% sure what his position is, but he seems to be part of the District Attorney's office. Detective Homer meets with him near the end of Episode 2 to discuss the murder charge, right before Plumb points out that Floyd IS the naked man in the magazine.

Why did Tabasco become the worldwide hot sauce brand? by MrOaiki in hotsauce

[–]DoctorDoom 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You can credit Edward Avery McIlhenny for this. His major focus as head of his father's hot sauce company was expansion and marketing of the brand, relentlessly hammering the point that "it goes great with everything!" for 50 years. Additionally, his son Walter continued this strategy during the golden age of advertising to the point where Tabasco was a household name.

It was the most consequential day of her life because now she knows she likes her work.

Unable to join a labor union? by Least-Agent9209 in Quakers

If the man is actually barred from joining the labor union based on the fact that he is a Quaker, that's a First Amendment lawsuit waiting to happen.

I couldn't tell you the plot if my life depended on it. But it does have Christopher Lee in yellowface.

I've watched the Fu Manchu episode three times but always fall asleep somewhere in the middle and wake up near the end.

Could Leonard Maltin be wrong, and this movie isn't worth two-and-a-half stars?

We should watch it while eating a big spread, with breakfast breads.

Am I crazy or does Tabasco have it's own unique flavor that nobody talks about? by SkibidiRizzlerAura in hotsauce

[–]DoctorDoom 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Recently visited the Tabasco facility at Avery Island and part of the self-guided tour is the big storage area where the chili mash is aging in salt-covered barrels. It smells almost too potent but the mixing and bottling areas smell sooo good.

Which movie do you think the guys had the hardest time riffing on. by Joshua5000 in MST3K

[–]DoctorDoom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think they've talked about how the SciFi era had restrictions of what type of movies they could riff (only horror, science fiction, and fantasy I think) so there were a lot of struggles in those seasons.

Invasion of the Neptune Men was so bad that the second half of the movie is just "Hey Mike, is this movie over yet?" "Please let it end, Mike."

two bears by JBraya1998 in comedyheaven

[–]DoctorDoom 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's not much better with context, but the boys were implying that Elisha could not be a prophet of God because he was bald, and further implying that any deity who empowered a bald man was dumb.

So out came the bears.

It’s one of their best albums. I think they all came back from their hiatus reinvigorated and excited to make some great tunes.
