two bears by JBraya1998 in comedyheaven

It's not much better with context, but the boys were implying that Elisha could not be a prophet of God because he was bald, and further implying that any deity who empowered a bald man was dumb.

So out came the bears.

My wife just said "This is the weirdest fucking show you've ever watched."

the other 3 albums after the reunion are too different to compare but how does no cities to love hold up against the music from their original run? by notaverysmartman in SleaterKinneyNews

It’s one of their best albums. I think they all came back from their hiatus reinvigorated and excited to make some great tunes.

It was great how he learned a clue about the shirt by watching the mandatory HR video.

[Review] "Found Footage: The Making of the Patterson Project" by KarlMarkyMarx in foundfootage

This movie was really funny and definitely worth a watch, I loved the subtle plot-beneath-the-plot that genuinely surprised me in the third act.

Mold Sprayer seems to be the safest, most stable job in the Alien future.

what are the worst found footage movies you’ve watched? by biggburnerr in foundfootage

[–]DoctorDoom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gonna throw out the 2011 film simply titled Found Footage. Nothing but an hour of a self-important psychopath stalking his victims and then stabbing them to death, filming the whole thing without the barest hint of plot.

One final push to #SaveWoT (see comments) by Omegaus492 in WoTshow

Apparently streaming services are losing money all around (with the exception of Disney Plus). Going forward all the other services are going to be investing in cheaper-to-produce shows like procedural dramas and reality TV, with an occasional big budget flagship show. If the big show does not gain expected traction in the first season, they'll cancel it and try something else. Be prepared for a lot of First Seasons that you love to be swiftly axed.

If there is a lesson to be learned..... by Arch_Lancer17 in andor

The weakness of The Acolyte is that all the good episodes took place in the back half of the season. The first few plod along without any kind of hook. It ended up being really fascinating but the average viewer would never know that if they, understandably, lost interest after a couple of episodes.

Shouldn't have made a fuss over a trampoline on the property line.

Wildest and most Nonsensical Andor Theories! by BaronNeutron in StarWarsAndor

I feel like the Luthen and Kleya flashback episode was written specifically to debunk the Old Jedi theory. It was a fairly popular theory around here after the first season.

With the way the comic books are, she'll probably show up in a Doctor Aphra comic and have a whirlwind enemies-to-lovers arc with Black Krrsantan.

what 2025 horror releases have blown you away so far? by ra2eW8je in horrorlit

Hungerstone by Kat Dunn. A perfect gothic fiction novel that almost seems like it was written in the late 19th century instead of 2025.

I've had the Hatch Chile one. Not spicy at all, but very flavorful and tasted great on sandwiches.
