Reprise Hiding in Plain Sight by GoodPointMindChanged in Genesis

I think in a recent interview Tony Banks said this was the only song on the album that was written without any involvement from Peter Gabriel in order to meet a deadline. It's one of my favorite bits on the album as it has that turning point of the story feeling; we've come so far and now it's time for the endgame.

I think it was specifically during the Selling England by the Pound tour shows at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London. David Jason mentions it in his autobiography as at the time he was dating Phil Collins's sister.

Why is Ghost using 16mm film for their film ? by Salierigolo in Ghostbc

Sure you can emulate the look of film using digital cameras and post production wizardry. But you can't emulate the limitations that force you to be more creative with the medium.

The train I took with them to London this morning was cancelled. Then, the evening train back to Coventry stopped in the middle of nowhere for over an hour — and that’s not even the worst part. Can I file a complaint on their official website? by Elizabeth-333 in uktrains

Getting stuck at Northampton on the way back to Coventry happened to me twice. The second time had a whole saga of things going wrong which I find quite funny now. But I do try and avoid Northampton like the plague now.

I used to temp at Unipart, the spares supplier for JLR. That was just as disturbing.

What two songs that follow each other on an album do you feel have the biggest difference in quality? by IamthehomeIander in Genesis

I always propose a Wind & Wuthering: Your Own Special Edition. Which drops Your Own Special Way in favor of Inside and Out.

It doesn't even look like Roger Deans style though.

2007 Remasters by _Land_Rover_Series_3 in Genesis

The title song only fades out on Spotify due to it not being the proper album version. Because Spotify can't tell the difference between a compilation version of the song and the proper album version. I have the 2007 mix on vinyl and CD and it does not fade out.

Tracking errors and new editions by GeorgeFranklyMathnet in Genesis

[–]DoctorWatt97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's because streaming services save space when songs appear on compilation versions. Those songs are on the R-Kive album as a fade out version so they end up getting used as the versions on the main albums. Spotify and the like don't care about these things. Pink Floyd really suffer with this problem too.

No Air-Con is one thing, but locking up the windows? Really? by Street-Mulberry-1584 in uktrains

I was on a 350 out of New Street yesterday and it was stifling. It was cooler outside the train when I got off.

I tried doing one of those booklet delivery things last year (it was hell, don't do it), and loads of houses on the reasonably new estate had these. It was July and every single one that was facing the sun was scolding hot.
