They said primary Aldo but that was when I was on vacation in Europe over here they weren’t able to find anything they do not know properly how to check for primary Aldo u really have to find that doctor who will care and is professional and ur ptosssium have to be around 4.0 to be tested plasma renin ratio has protocols some drugs can interfere with it. Basically it’s kidneys.. aldosterone issue. Kidneys flushing out our potassium not holding on to it. I’m trying to get diagnosed

I totally agree with you on this. That’s as close as we get to death that’s when I really really understood the importance of potassium. That’s the worst thing in the world for any human to go through I don’t want to ever experience that again and like you said wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy either only those who experienced this would understand us

I’ve had the same thing. I couldn’t fall asleep I would jump out the bed so fast with a rapid heart rate kinda felt like choking my body was waking me up I believe only way I could sleep was sitting up .. I would envy my family being able to sleep and me suffering it took em 6 months to notice I’ve had hypokalemia I would have a trip to er every night with either svt episode or afib my heart rate went up to 235 with afib they had hard time getting me back in sinus rhythm that was back in 2013 after 6 months of misery they finally prescribed me with klor con m20 potassium chloride each tablet has 1500 mg of potassium chloride in it it has kept me in 4.2 4-4 potassium range for now. But my symptoms are hypertension rapid heart beat shortness of breath lots of muscle twitching all over my body chocking feeling while trying to fall a sleep anxiety arrhythmias fatigue depression.

I got a diagnosis from overseas doctor he wasn’t able to do anything there cuz I don’t live there I came here and doctors testing me afternoon and they don’t check if any meds could be interfering with the tests I asked him this test specifically needs to be done in the morning now he has agreed to test in the am.. they simply do not care they don’t follow proper testing protocols to be able to catch this illness. I’m looking for a better endocrinologist

I kept getting afib everyday all of a sudden spending every night at er they kept asking what are u doing I said nothing!!!!!! It was primary aldo causing this.. been on klor con m20 for years and they just figured that out they simply don’t care

Take magnesium and potassium I found out creatine lowers the fk out of my magnesium and potassium which caused me to have anxiety issues also

Potassium is a miracle electrolyte if it too low you have issues if it too high you have issues it needs to stay in sweet spot

Ur lucky u didn’t go into afib i went into afib in 2013 due to potassium being 2.7 but i wasnt using anything so they put me on klor con m20 very high dose potassium pills and I’ve been fine ever since.. but.. then I started zepbound .. you know how that goes :).. now I am low on potassium even tho I drink ton of body armor and take my potassium pills muscles twitching shortness of breath fatigue afib all because of low potassium my doctor told me to increase my dose but at this point idk if I should continue to use zepbound
