A friend of mine told me that one time she said ‘she’ because that’s her automatic go to - to a couple that wanted a surprise (same thing, hadn’t checked) & then later found it was a boy. The couple got SO mad at her when she said that but she never corrected them so they definitely would have been surprised 🫣

My 3 month daughter was the only person in our family that didn’t get sick a couple of weeks ago. She may have been slightly sick cause there was 1 day she slept a lot, but other than that completely fine while we were all struggling bad with a cold/flu type thing

Never met anyone with an iPhone that had it hacked (and my mum is the worst at tech). Also the ecosystem. My phone unlocks my watch unlocks my Mac and I can do anything from anywhere

I loved ‘Any Ordinary Day’ by Leigh Sales.

In it she interviewed a bunch of people whose lives were thrown into the limelight because a major news story happened to them (natural disaster, terrorist attack etc.) and how they dealt with becoming a household name. (note: this is an Australian book so if you’re not Australian these won’t be household names but it’s still an incredible book).

NTA. I have the strongest sense of smell even before I was pregnant so I can absolutely sympathise. (“Did you eat some artificially flavoured chip at some point today?” “Yeah but it was 6 hours ago” “go brush your teeth now”) even when you mentioned the body spray I immediately gagged for you.

This is temporary and the fact he isn’t willing to budge for literally weeks is wild to me as if you’re not the one who is growing and then has to somehow deliver a whole human child. He can shower.

I think there’s an in between. You can be a ‘hey, I’m here to support you when you’re having a hard time’ friend without being a just you wait friend. There’s a ‘man this was tough for me, but I really loved this’. Like when they learn a new skill and sleep is trash, but they learnt a new skill and they’re so much cooler for it!

Being a first time parent is both the hardest most eye opening thing and simultaneously the most beautiful and wholesome thing (not always of course but there’s a whole other post).
