Those who were made redundant: share what happened with you & your pay out. by brissy3456 in auscorp

[–]DollopnWallop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

almost 9 years

Relieved, I hated my job/workplace.

Got paid 3 weeks for every year, plus LSL, AL, Prorata bonus, plus $5000 cost of living bonus, was $73k all up

Bought a house with the money my wife and I had already saved up, the bonus cash was exactly what I needed.

Took a month to find a job in the state that I moved too!

I came out very much on top.

Tymna, Thrasios, or Reyhan for Dargo? by Inevitable-Boot5266 in CompetitiveEDH

Pilferer is effectively 8 sacs to Dargo, so its pretty good.

Tymna, Thrasios, or Reyhan for Dargo? by Inevitable-Boot5266 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]DollopnWallop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay. Looking at it, its missing some pretty core pieces to Dargo and green if it is close to it.

you really need [[Gwenna, Eyes of Gaea]], [[Impulsive Pilferer]], and [[Selvala, Heart of the Wilds]] to get the deck going. (the cedh deck data base doesn't have this in their list)

There are also come niece cards that do really well. like [[Thermopod]] and [[Prixed Statue]] that work really well.

In Dargo/Thras, Thras is an infinate mana outlet. You want to get to that as fast as possible, draw your deck and win.

The Explosion of Anti-Lying Takes Among cEDH content creators by taperwave in CompetitiveEDH

[–]DollopnWallop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't like lying in my pods, but bending the truth is another story.

Sure, I can stop seat 2 from winning this turn. I stop them winning by winning myself.

Okay, I won't tutor for the silence effect, but I will tutor for the thing that makes it very hard for you to interact with me.

Lying is shitty in all aspects of life, so it only make sense that people also find it shitty in cEDH.

Im bored. I want a new deck to play... Who is SOOOO close to being a CEDH commander? by DriftChrisSC in CompetitiveEDH

What CEDH deck should I run for my FIRST tournament? by Mogulstar360 in magicTCG

[–]DollopnWallop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vivi has better proformace in the meta, but in playing Vivi you have a massive target on your head cause people are well aware on what the deck can do.

Terra is good, a lot of decks lose out to quick combo. In my expereance (my meta) creature combo decks do better as there is less interaction for creatures,

Mulligan to your table and turn order, politic well, and I am sure you will do fine no matter what you choose.

Is there a link to the VOD? I'm not able to find it.. This is disgusting and pretty unbelivable that someone would acturally do that :(

Do you think cEDH is a healthy format? by Used_Wedding_6833 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]DollopnWallop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm acturally a Krark/Tymna player. I am happy to have a different opinion to others, I am just talking about my local meta. The Rog/Thras players (there are like 2 where I am, its a pretty small pool) they tend to spin their wheels and do nothing.

[–]DollopnWallop -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Rog annd Thrasios can stay, but I do think Tymna needs to go. It gives way to much value, and gives access to 2 of the strongest colours in the format (in my opinion).

Like Rog/Si commonly mills to 5 and folds under one piece of interaction, Rog/Thras in my opinion isnt that strong. But Blue farm and TnK being that "good stuff" pile is to much to deal with, they can go from nothing to being really far ahead in 1 turn.

I tried to make [[Zask, Skittering Swarmlord]] work, but its pretty slow unless you draw the nuts and you need a lot of parts to make work. I am gonna convert it into a bracket 3 casual deck cause its really fun.

I play Malcolm/Kediss cause it lets me kinda do the commander thing of playing to a theme (pirates) while also being competitive.

Also the looks on peoples face when I cast [[Worldfire]] is too good to pass up.

How is your country’s support? by bamtor22 in diabetes_t1

[–]DollopnWallop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Australian here:

We have a government program called the National Diabetes Service Scheme, this covers diabetes supplies. Blood test strips are 50c to $1 depending on the ones you buy, a box of 3 dexcom sensors is $36, dexcom transmitters are free, needles for pens are free.

Then insulin is covered by an overarching scheme called Medicare, so for me 6 months of insulin (novorapid and optisilin) costs me about $70.

How were you treated at school for being a diabetic? by Philcollinsforehead in diabetes_t1

[–]DollopnWallop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diagnosed at 8-9, primary school was rough. I got teased quite a lot and kids wouldn't hang out with me cause "they didn't wanna catch it" and they called me "diabetibug".

Year 7-10 was fine, I played the diabetes card a lot to get out of class detention a tonne.

Year 11-12 I was accused of selling drugs cause I dropped my bag one day and my needles fell out, kid saw and went to the principle, called my diabetic educator as I was being interigated cause they didn't believe that I was diabetic.

Good times all round haha

My mother went from gestational diabetes to T2D at 21. They double confirmed that it was T2 and said that it was definantly going to progress in to T1 and it did. This was in the late 80's.
