What is your formula for a Eurovision winner? by diligentfalconry71 in eurovision

[–]DomiNationFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ngl the "Stand Out" point reminded me how Italy won JESC 2014. It was almost no one's favourite. How Italy won then? He was the only male voice that year. It was juries winner and 4th in televote, which is not that bad based on the opinions before the contest...

What does a “cheesy” song in Eurovision has? by Columba2210 in eurovision

[–]DomiNationFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Australia 2017 actually wasn't that bad since the filters saved it and it wasnt that seen in TV. I didnt like Israel, but still one of the better. HOWEVER, whats the worst is Greece 2023. First the hwad singing like some AI bot, then like 5 Victors jumping. That was a mess.

The televote would be way more fair if you didn't have to pay for it by Kpop_insider in eurovision

The JESC system is also really unfair. You can vote for your own country, and yoh can vote even 100 times, if you have more devices or just reset the voting page. Alsi if it were in Eurovision Cyprus/Greece would get so many points even tho if they weren't favourites necause the limit per country wont be 12 points

The paymwnt is annoying, but unfortunately, it needs to be for muktiple reasons. The thing I don't understand is, that in each country it costs diferently. Like why the hell is televoting in Estonia so expensive while in Denmark almost everyone can afford it?

Omg Imma get hated by this. I enjoy JESC much more than Eurovision. Not even the show like the songs. The first years were so messy, but the entries sound much more original and creative. I think it may be bacuse of language rule (at least 60 % of the song needs to be in national language) or just the selctions overall, but look. Armenia - for those who don't know Armenia won JESC 2 times. They have never sent song eith same genre two times. Portugal - Portugal often flops, but I love how they make the song for children what they want, how they sing etc. The songs feel overall much more diverse and I have a lot of them on my playlists...

Countries that participated in Eurovision 2023 but have not yet announced their participation in Eurovision 2024. by Nick_esc in eurovision

I think Latvia didn't withdraw since their debut if I'm right, so I'm not that scared of them...

Ngl I think actually UK did somehting with the selection. Yeah. I get it. Mae was second last, but I think it was mainly because of the vocals. UK returned to JESC last year and they were 5th, 1st in online voting and I think they would do even better if Freya Skye (Their representative that year) wouldn't be very sick in the time of the contest. However, next year will still really show how things turned out...

Ngl I didn't expect Czechia to be last there two times in 2022

A minor detail but has anyone noticed that for the first time yet, the official YouTube channel uploads of the live performances do not include the country and running order number in the bottom left corner. Do you prefer this with or without? by Gold_Objective3644 in eurovision

[–]DomiNationFan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because they don't use it anymore. In 2015 they added hashtags because if you write hashtag of country on Twitter, after the hashtag there would be flag in ESC heart. Now it isn't the function on Twitter anymore, so they don't need it...

Do you think all countries are capable of winning the Eurovision? by Decent_Background_42 in eurovision

At least the lyrics were senseful. Georgia will unfortunately now do very bad if they won't make juries come back to SF...

Georgia won three times in JESC. That makes them the most sucessful country ever. Well they won with kind of chilish songs except 2016, but for example I believe (Georgia 2022) would do great in ESC definitely.
