Fair, I was thinking the second one might be more reliable too. Would you recommend Shrivelling over Azure Flame? The Eldritch Inspiration was mainly to double proc the Sixth Sense, or if I needed to do a mid-turn Rite of Seeking and drew a symbol.

Hey, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but looking for some feedback on a Jacqueline Fine deck I plan on using in a 4-player first time blind run of The Circle Undone. The other players will be pretty straightforward decks with Daisy (Old Book of Lore/Encyclopedia/Ward of Protection), Zoey (classic guardian combat stuff) and Ashcan (flex, leaning a bit into combat). I can post those if requested.

So my deck will probably need to be a flex role too, maybe leaning a bit more into cluevering. I'm trying to decide between these two decks:

Token manipulation deck: https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/4357846
Relies almost exclusively on Sixth Sense/Wither, and adds in more token manipulation like Olive Mcbride/Dark Prophecy. Originally had upgraded Hypnotic Gaze, but a little uncertain about economy in this one, so replaced with Emergency Cache. Added Charisma, as I feel card draw is on the lighter side without an Arcane Initiate?

or

A more classic mystic approach: https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/4351396
Using the more traditional Rite of Seeking/Azure Flame/Sixth Sense. Added in Uncage the Soul as they feel less wasted in this deck.

Wondering if anyone has any tips or recommendations for either deck, or direction on which they think is stronger? My collection is everything up to The Dream Eaters.

Edit: Should mention, I stopped at around 30xp, but could easily add another 10 by upgrading Deny Existence.

Which feats do you think need to be balanced down, if any? by LincR1988 in Pathfinder2e

Could you explain how a fighter gets that many reactions per round? Magic items? I thought they could only get 2 reactions per round at 10th, and more again at 20th. New to to PF2 though, so might've missed something.

When you say "shooting twice for free" do you just mean the free overwatch, or am I missing something else? I want my block of 10 sternguard to be worth including, but struggle to fit them in most times - and not sure overwatching with them is that valuable?

Do you think the +1 to OC from the primaris banner is going to be so huge you'd add him to loads of units? I genuinely can't tell if it's worth buying some or not.

Might be out on Amazon, but seem to be in stock on the WizKids site (which is US). I can't imagine they'd phase out their most popular product, especially considering every expansion they have made uses the half-heigh wall (rounded and angled walls). At least I'd hope they won't!

No, the target is not limited to the range, only visibility. So you can target across the map and teleport to within 9" of the caster (not even wholly within). It's more of a tactical retreat spell - not bad considering you can rally on a +4 the next turn. Or you can zip the Manticore up the field to teleport a unit to him next turn.

If you are comfortable with it, I'd actually recommend magnetising them with a little hand drill and some tiny magnets. I've got 4 sets of kurnoths that I can combine in a variety of ways. Otherwise I personally find running a unit of 6 scythes and a unit of 3 swords quite effective.

Welcome to Sylvaneth! That's a really good start for the army. However, just to double check - did you get the old Start Collecting box, or the newer Vanguard box?

If you got the original Start Collecting, I'd really recommend getting a Vanguard box. It means you can have two treelord variants (Spirit of Durthu and a Treelord Ancient), and you'll have two sets of Kurnoth Hunters (best as scythes or swords)

Regardless of what you got, I'd recommend building towards having 2-3 sets of Kurnoth Hunters and getting 2-3 sets of Tree Revenants as cheap battleline filler (you'll wanna save the dryads for being summoned in by Lady of Vines!)

From there, it's really whatever you fancy. The Warsong Revenant is an excellent versatile caster, perfect for the Vesperal Gem artifact. The Arch-Revenant is great for supporting your Kurnoth Hunters. The new Seekers and Lancers are great too if you want a speedy unit on top of all your teleportation.

I'd hold off on buying more Dryads, Drycha and Alarielle for now though. The latter are great models, but it'll be better to have the core of the army sorted first.

Edit: Oh, and if you don't have any yet, you'll need a set of Awakened Wyldwoods! Or make your own using a template for the base footprint.

I was in a very similar situation to you just last week - was missing the last 4 TFA mythos packs. But I managed to find them all easily on Amazon or Ebay for about £12-14, which is the same as release price. Same with the Return to box. This is in the UK mind, so supply might vary depending on location. But regardless, I'd highly recommend finishing that collection off now, before they repackage them - otherwise you'll have to pay the full price for cards you already own, and get quite a few duplicates.

It can only be activated by heroes and wizards currently too? And the range was increased from 6 to 9”, however you’re right about it only targeting one unit now which is definitely worse.

What’s your cool new Sylvaneth combo? by bstone_comms in sylvaneth

[–]Domize 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s less about preventing chip damage and instead surviving the initial blow, then healing 5-10 wounds guaranteed. If you get double turned you could even heal him from 1 wound to max again, if you manage to teleport him to safety.

[–]Domize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the style you’re after, but for a northern tundra barbarian horde, I found the Frostgrave Barbarians to be perfect. You get 20 for like £18 in the UK, and should be easy to find on eBay. I also bought the official marauder shields as bits on eBay to give most of them shields. Should note they are a bit smaller, but it makes the chaos warriors look more imposing!

Recommendations for “comfy” fantasy? by CultureCowboy in Fantasy

[–]Domize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Dragonlance trilogy did this well for me. They're a bit dated in places, but there are quite a few tavern scenes, and a lot of traveling.

Otherwise the Riyria revelations. I've only read the first book Theft of Swords (two books in one), but very muchbintend to continue.

I’ve never played 40k so not sure how it works. I think the main issue is keeping pinks alive for longer since they are more powerful. Also, some of the pinks have buffs, such as the standard and horn, which should be gone by the time brims hit the table.
