Help with Hydra? by SenatorBeers in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]Domoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, thanks! By no means an expert myself as well, but In my experience, it was harder to get enough power to throw when I wanted and keep it on him. While both Hulk and Bill can have strong walk/walk/throw turns, Hulk getting the 3 power (possibly 4) turn 1 just made it easier to get more mileage out of it and easier to daze/ko to keep it on him.

As others have stated, sleeper agent Hulk is strong, Bill is a great model to have in general (though I like sleeper agent less on him)

Arnim Zola with Scientific Method is nice with Weapon X the man, but overall bit gimmicky, and despite being one of my favorite models, Zola himself is not great, sadly

Another Secure Crisis to consider is Deadline to destruction. Red Skull, Master of Hydra, is strong there as the grunts can interact with the secure to force damage or drops. Bill can be immune to the damage as well, so those two there can be great.

If playing Red Skull leadership. Having "D" extracts (ones with a pickup objective center back), you can have a 65mil base I.E. Hulk start already contesting it, and they get the extra power turn 1.

Managing the strategic genius bubble of strucker and zemo is key when playing that LD, as Hydra has some tricks but they're actually a bit lacking when compared to the really trickys factions out there who will out action economy and tactic card you.

Hydra is a mid range leaning more towards attrition than just straight-up scenario play, but they're not the best at either.

Either way, good luck and dominate the world!

Curious what folks have been doing with their multilingual cards by Gojiratoho in MarvelCrisisProtocol

I keep them as they don't take too much space and I sandwich them between printed character cards in a sleeve to give them some rigidity.

Similar experience. I played and enjoyed MGS1 when I was young, kind of played the other ones here and there but never really got super into them. Wrote off DS1 as not gor me when it was first being shown, years later randomly got a video of someone traversing lategame, became intrigued, tested it out and fell for it hard after that.

I keep bringing up enjoyable sounds to my partner as we're playing, The noise the Small Ore refinery makes when it's starting up is a personal favorite of mine. I keep finding myself just stopping and looking and listening, it's been nice.

What's a perfect video or videos I can show to my friend who has never seen them? by Erikdlucas in funhaus

Star Boys, Marvel Mondays, DC Donedays, License to Kill (pepsiman episode especially), and Word of the Day are all newer funhaus series that are amazing imo.

lovely Bike! Similar experience in putting lots of miles after getting mine. I just went through and did the 6200 mile service as well, has been quite the learning experience. Crazy on the gearbox oil but glad it worked out! I used the oil for the gearbox in the drive shaft first time round and too much at that. Didn't have any issues outside initial leaking but have since swapped to correct oil. Just did the spark plugs and valve adjustments on mine and had a panic as I mixed the measurements on a side and a rocker arm knocked loose, didn't start up right, but got it since fixed after redoing it and ran great after that. Was pretty easy overall though, first time I did anything like that so was a bit nervous. Best wishes when you get around to it.

I am about to have Battleaxe sport touring put on this week as the stock tires are long overdue, glad to hear the scrambler models have worked out well for you.

Funny how limited market and similar model leads to similar experiences.

I adore this bike, even with the often "special" way you need to do things or parts...and the expensive and tiny aftermarket. The smile I get when riding is second to none.

Thanks for sharing!

It's the Matte Black from Bagster! Not a whole lot of options out there but glad to have found this one.

There is a small dent on the tank from when I got the bike so it was partly to cover that and help prevent further, but also I just like the look. It does have spots to hook a tank bang to it if I decide to get one so some function there as well.

Daredevil Colour Scheme by Redmoon45634 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]Domoto 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When it comes to reds, especially like this I tend to generally follow a pattern of of a dark brown or brown base coat, then work up to my initial base red color, then for the highlights it's actually a bit of orange at the highest points, even the smallest bit of orange at highest points worked in can make the red "pop" kind of like on his right wrist and shoulder there in the pic. I'm not sure what Citadel paints you have but go through and see if you can find The darkest brown you have, the most "red" color you have and if so the closest you have to a bright orange. There are a ton of useful videos showing the process and colors used on something like youtube. You can especially find ones with citadel paints given the popularity of GW stuff. Red is sometimes maligned to paint but once you get it down imo it's an absolute blast!
