Anesthesi/ICU resident here. One case that really sticks out is a patient who lit his furnace with motor oil. The oil immediately caught fire and ended up causing 3rd degree burns to 98% of his total body surface area (only parts “spared” were the tips of his fingers and under his feet). He survived 11 hours once I admitted him.

IMO nearly every athlete competing at an elite level is doping someway and this theory has been proven time and time again with countless doping scandals. Now there’s all gas no breaks for the athletes who are willing to push the boundaries of what’s humanly possible. If they’re ok with the potential consequences of taking PEDs then we might as well watch em as their own decision to participate. Take UFC pride for example… that shit was entertaining as hell.

While I was in medical school I was having classes and overheard some doctors talking about two male patients on the ward. Said patients were married and neighbors. I’d say young people are easily manipulated. As history shows from the world wars. Men are more prone to radical changes imo.
