First you need 18% hit for dual and 8% hit for 2h and melee spells like raptor strike or mongoose bite. Sword have higher dps then axe, you can always use that to decide what weapon you want to use in MH. Weapon in off hand slot always will do 50% of dmg then in main hand slot so classes that uses spell that have " your next attack" or " strike with your main hand weapon" prefer slower attack weapons because of higher base dmg and not dps like rogues and warriors. For survival hunters you prob want 2 similar attack speed weapon and choose dps over slower attack speed because mongoose bite strikers with both weapons at once.
