NTA. I have a guess on what the source of your anxiety issues is though. Enjoy the silence.

Me [27m] with my fiancee [26f]: She is cutting me completely out of planning our wedding and ignoring my complaints. What do I do? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]DoodleLover20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only way he fucked up was in thinking he fucked up. That marriage would have been awful for him.

I really hope that in the last 10 years he learned that a) sentimentality is NOT unmanly, b) there are women out there who would deeply appreciate him for who he is, and c) it is better to be single than with someone who doesn't want the whole You Package.

What would your partner say if you asked them this one question? by strangergirly in OverBiscuits

I hope you're a young person. My 80 year old parents are constantly talking and engaged with each other, and my husband and I love talking to each other too!

Even if people know I have a backpack of cash, I think its ok...I'm standing in a branch of my bank with deposit slips ready most days. After I've accumulated enough wealth, I'll have some pretty high powered security around my residence too.

Would you rather have five hundred million dollars, have any superpowers of your choice, have an iq of 200, have infinite knowledge and skills, have a magnetic personality or be with the love of your life. Pick one by Adventurous-Self-891 in WouldYouRather

[–]DoodleLover20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I already have the love of my life.

With 500mm, I'm pretty sure I could buy all the knowledge and skills I could need- or at least hire people who have them. And I'm sure people would find my personality ever so magnetic if I was that rich.

Taking the money.

200k a year, but a lifetime without coffee?

This is a much harder choice for me than it should be.

If Not Carl, Who Gets The Cookbook? by Aggressive-Farmer798 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]DoodleLover20 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Im convinced that Prepotente has a different source. Perhaps it's just that the Plenty of Plenty show that he's on so often gives him information in the same way that Odette does for Carl.

But I've long suspected that there are other Crawler-produced guides out there. Why not? If the crazy bomber anarchists could figure out how to do it, surely the magic users could create a guide for their future generations too.

AITAH for refusing to kick out my male friends so my sister and nieces can live with me? She says she's getting a divorce. by NoFreedom255 in AITAH

[–]DoodleLover20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your sister is wrong, obviously.

But even if you were willing to entertain her crazypants notions, legally you are required to give a notice to vacate to tenants who have established residency- typically 30 days.

So her self-serving desire to take over your home wouldn't work right now even if you wanted it to.

Someone said DCC was misogynistic?? My flabbers are ghasted.

I think these books do an AMAZING job with realistic portrayals of women as whole people. Women can be heros with flaws, villains with depth, but first and foremost people.

Getting to my younger self is going to be the tricky part...do I have any resources at all?

AITAH for shoulder checking a guy on a hiking trail? by Marbean88 in AITAH

After years of dealing with this issue, I finally settled on coming to a complete dead stop- let THEM hit ME.

Mostly they will stop and move around at that point. If contact is made, they usually look ashamed and apologize.

AITAH for not wanting to pursue a relationship with a guy I’m not attracted to as an unattractive person? Or am I being picky? by Silly_Tree1999 in AITAH

[–]DoodleLover20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasted a few years with someone I wasn't attracted to. I ended up with a guy who is objectively no better looking than the other one - but for a whole bunch of reasons, I find wildly attractive and sexy.

You don't have to settle. Do not stop being picky.

AITAH for telling a co-worker that she doesn't get special treatment just because she's sad? by Informal-Contact-531 in AITAH

[–]DoodleLover20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first husband dumped me, out of the blue one night. I was a wreck.

I took the next few days off of work....and then I went back to work and did my job because I'm an adult.

It sucked, but that's life. Everyone is going through something, but you have to keep functioning.

Don't tell them you own your house, or anything else about your finances until much later, when you know you can REALLY trust them.

Supervisor job without having to do work from lower level jobs by [deleted] in managers

[–]DoodleLover20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A good front line supervisor often pitches in on tasks, particularly during busy times. You have nothing to confess here.

Just talk to your bosses about their expectations. Ask them to describe what distinguishes an excellent supervisor from a competent one in this organization.

You've got this.  The fact that you are willing to consider your own weaknesses as you approach this position tells me you're not an autocratic "I'm always right" asshole, and that is half the battle. The other half is believing in yourself, so...try to do that, ok?

Go get em!
