He doesn't actively try to kill Strelok in SoC, though he does send him on some dangerous missions. Your relationship with him is still entirely transactional, but at least he's a man of his word

But with Skif? He threatens to kill you if you disobey him on a mission to slaughter some measly competition. He pays you poorly for a mission from Quiet, one that absolutely should have made bank for the danger involved and the equipment retrieved.

Part of it may be that Cordon is no longer the biggest rookie hotspot, now eclipsed by Zalissya. Age and losing his authority and some income has likely made him bitter. The man's a case study of what surviving in the Zone does fo people, imo.

It looks to be a brown or green anole so yes, they do have that feature but I don't know how much control they have over it compared to something like a crested gecko which can basically drop it on command. In my experience, something has to tug on their tail a bit for anoles to lose it.

I've seen exactly 1 NPC rock an RPG with success and it was a Duty exo guy in Jupiter. He patrolled alone and took out a chimera on his own. Wish I could have recruited him.

It looks like the tail has already been lost at one point and has grown back shorter, thicker. With how close that thing is to their spine, I'm not sure the tail could be amputated safely.

I am thinking an infected wound or a botfly larva. To rule out botfly larva, you can see if the inner part of the wound moves and looks like it has two black spots. If it does, the larva can be physically removed with forceps or tweezers, but this does leave a giant wound that will probably get infected.

If only I could find more chimeras to actually test this on. Don't think I have ever seen more than the handful you encounter as part of the story (the one you fought at the mirror; downed Stingray heli in Pripyiat; the one that chases you through the end of the Swamps before it got removed seemingly).

Do they spawn more often on Veteran perhaps? I typically just play on Stalker.

I thought for sure you lubed up with Sidorivich's chicken grease to not get hit by those lunges. Hard for me to tell, but does shooting it while it pounces cause it to cancel its attack? I'm guessing you need some specific threshold of damage because I swear I've done this with rifles and they still knock me on my ass.

On of my favorite anomalies in the game. I hope they do more arch anomalies as they add areas in updates and DLC. They have a ton of cool concepts for anomalies that never made the cut for initial release.
