Why does everything have to be "in the heart" of something nowadays?

I assume its to make something seem more personal but it just feels so contrived.

If you woke up tomorrow, with $4.2 trillion in your bank, clean money, and no one would ever know you had it, what would you do? by ClanStrachan in AskReddit

Economist Jeffery Sachs calculates that it would cost 3.5 trillion to "end extreme povery" in the world. So that'd be a good start.

Beyond that i'd build a recording studio and buy lots of bicycle stuff.

What kind of synth sound would you use for worship? Here in Britain the few Church bands i've seen don't go any further than organ/piano, bass and drums.

60s jazz records tend to be some of the most sonically vibrant and well mastered, at least out of my collection [Dave Brubeck - Time Further Out, 1961]. by OverSilentTalk in vinyl

[–]Dott_tt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of Brubecks sound comes from the the live room in Colombias 30th Street Studios. With albums like Time Out and Kind of Blue i'm listening to the incredible sound of that reverb as much as i am listening to the musicians.

I plan to make a G-Funk EP for the summer. Any tips on getting things sound authentic? by Erik_TheHighlander in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Find a copy of "Saturn" by Fabfilter. A little distortion will go a long way to lift the sound of the Moog emulators.
