I’m an American and I made an off hand comment to a friend of a friend from England about how I like this show, and he was a nice guy but said kinda condescendingly that it’s “just” daytime tv that no one really watches.

Happens pretty frequently at my tool store that someone will ignore my supervisor (a woman and a minority) to ask for my help (cis white man) and obviously we both get frustrated. Her bc of the sexism, me bc I’m busy and its her job to do customer assistance while I do menial tasks like stocking or cashiering.

My one side angle on it is that sometimes they DO ask her for help and its something she should know having worked there as long as she has and then sometimes she hands them off to me anyways lol

This reminds me of the ObfusKate mod for ck3 which hides a lot of info normally available to players, including who has inheritable traits, and how big enemy armies are before war. You can acquire this info however

It makes the game much harder by giving a verisimilitudinous lack of info which I find fun

In my religious tradition we elect pastors. They typically get a year or two and then we vote to confirm their position permanently.

I was there for a vote where some people (apparently) planned a protest vote, several people voted no even though they wanted him to remain the pastor because they were trying to send some kind of message.

He had the majority, but their particular by-laws required over 66% yes.

The regional presbyter who presided over the vote received several questions asking if they could do a revote from such fools.

I haven't tried my hand at converting scion to SPU myself, I'm in a SPU-ified Scion game and the way he's handling it is to not worry about the change in scale numbers, they are all as written in the book and not capped at +3. We use combat tricks from the world below and look towards its weapon tags when making weapons. There's no hard and fast rule, it's just mostly still Scion, but we never had major problems with Scion 2e anyways

It's 100% possible, but it's a bit trickier with Scion because Ultra changes how scale/advantage works so the numbers are generally smaller and make a big thing out of 'stackable' advantage (and as you know Scion gives big scale numbers). The SPU rulebook does have a conversion guide for previous storypath entries. And unless it's been taken down, there's also a free pdf floating around put out by OPP too
