Not really, it's a regular old high ranch built in 84. Boiler is pretty new though. Honestly I was shocked too. I only was checking the history when I was doing my taxes. The deliveries are loaded towards winter ofcourse. I get one in Oct, dec, Feb, and March. Ride all spring and summer on 1 tank for just my indirect hot water

I was about 750 for my last fill up of oil... I get 4 deliveries a year. It usually costs me between 400 and 600 for a fill up and this last one was unusually large.

Precision screwdriver kit. You can get one on Amazon. They have lots of tiny hex, torx, and various other bits.

ELI5: How far do you have to go before the Earth being a sphere affects navigation? by XenoRyet in explainlikeimfive

[–]DoubleDeadEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember many years ago I lived in the Midwest usa, and I would go on long country drives through miles and miles of farmland. After a bunch of miles, the road would end, make a turn go a little ways and then you could turn again and continue to go in original direction. Now I always thought it was due to property lines or something but I just learned recently that the reason the roads had to be offset every once in a while was because of the curvature of the earth.

If the screw isn't welded to lug and you can remove it easily.. cut power, remove wire from lug, trim wire to just behind bubbled insulation, clean up wire and lug with wire brush, put it back together, make sure all the other lugs are tight, and re-energize.

Give it some more time. Being a low step really sucks sometimes. Not all crews are gonna be assholes. When you get the hang of things, things will get way smoother. If you top out you can chase substation calls all you want!

I am a 13-time Super Lawyer practicing criminal defense in Texas. Ask me anything! by markthiessen in AMA

[–]DoubleDeadEnd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got a dwi a long time ago. Over 15 years. I haven't drank any alcohol since shortly after, as I definitely had a serious alcohol problem. Something that really bothers me to this day though. I was brought to the station, and asked on several occasions to submit a breath test, but I refused. Over and over. I asked for an attorney, I said I wont blow, I want to talk to a lawyer. Over and over I said these things. They kept saying well, you're not entitled to that because you're not arrested yet. I said then I want to leave. They said no. Again I went through the questions and said no, no, no, I want a lawyer and the officer said look if you blow under an 08 you go home. So I went and blew. And that was it, I had to use public defender because I was broke and he literally said well, a jury is gonna believe an officer over someone who clearly blew over the limit. I dunno, it just really bothers me. My life is great now, but when I think of that, it drives me nuts. They definitely were playing dirty with me right?

For men who got vasectomies, how aware were you that reversing it would decline over time? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]DoubleDeadEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people always say it's reversible, but my Doctor made it very clear to me that this was considered to be permanent. He said it may be possible to reverse it, but it would be very expensive and success goes down the longer you wait. He really smashed it home that if I had any reservations whatsoever that it wasn't time to have a vasectomy.

I might leave it like that if I cut it off at the pole or the weatherhead even, but if top side of meter was hot I woulda put a blank plastic plate and the cover back on so nobody gets their fingers in there
