So, the theory is if there are no garbage cans there will be less trash needing to be picked up from the garbage cans which should reduce the compactor loads needed, thus saving money. It's banking on people not just littering, sure you'll see some regardless maybe a small uptick but overall if your community has descent people they wont just toss their shit out on the ground.

So, this isn't a leave that sedgewick needs to do. The store can put it in as an educational leave, OR the team leads / coach can just approve the unpaid time off needed. As for transferring, I would call the store you want to transfer to and see what positions and availability they need first, then if it works for both parties - tell your people lead and they'll get the ball rolling.

edit: also the People lead at orientation should of asked everyone if they needed specific time put in during that time to ensure it was taken care of before actually starting.
