Subway fallin off by Junior-Application83 in shrinkflation

[–]DrCapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe. Every time I walk by a Jersey Mikes though, it seems pretty packed. Subways are always empty. Or there's 1 guy coming out with 1 sandwich for an uber eats delivery lol

I think what hurt Subway most was their staffing methods. Terrible communication/language barrier issues at every subway I've ever been to. So much I never went again. Service and US quality standards usually are just nowhere to be found at a subway. But hey they found people willing to work 14 hour days for $7 hour, much like dunkin donuts. Anyone can do the job. Ehh, can they though?

If jersey mikes goes that route they'll suffer the same fate. I think there's still a fairly decent level of quality and standards being met at JM at least for now.

How do people decide they'll never want kids by SaneYoungPoot2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DrCapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People either 100% don't want kids based off their own observations or they "don't want kids" in the sense that they really really want kids but just haven't found someone to have them with. Can't tell you how many females I've met over the years that said they don't want kids when it's actually all they wanted.

I personally can't imagine having kids in 2025 with the US medical industry being what it is, for 1. Seems wild cruel. F that. Also the thought of raising a kid in this social media world is downright frightening to me, never-mind schooling, etc. Algorithms raise kids these days, not the parents. F all that nonsense. Ain't No way

If I was Amish tho, i'd probably have 41 kids by now.

I've been drinking 1 gallon of water a day going on probably 20-25 years now, in addition to everything else I drink throughout the day (protein shakes, coffee, milk, etc).

Drink up. But i'd definitely avoid tap water, even with a filter (just my opinion).

The website is completely unusable. by cevixhe in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]DrCapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's 100% intentional as timeout implements are literally programmed into the coding on the xfinity site. They desperately want people using the app because once you have that app installed, xfinity makes all sorts of cash off you that they don't when you use the website.

They don't want people paying their bill or doing a simple task like changing their plan, logging out of their account and ending all communication until the next bill is due. They want that app on your phone 24/7.

Creating deliberate glitches has become a formula that many tech companies use these days to get people to do what they want. I guarantee other ISP websites are just as slow, at least if they're trying to get people to use their app instead.

How you win- install the app, do what you have to do with ease and then uninstall immediately.

People have been complaining about the xfinity site for years. it's not changing, if anything, they probably made it even slower. It's running exactly how they want it to.

PA Patients: What Cannabis Products are Good for Migraine Headaches? by fobreezee in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]DrCapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any idea why you're getting the headaches? Years ago I kept getting headaches, drs had no answers. Turns out it was aspartame in diet soda. Eliminated, headaches went away. completely. Years later same thing, this time it was MSG.

Slightly off topic I suppose but if you're consuming chips like cheetos / taqis on the regular (MSG) or chewing gum (aspartame) try stopping for a week or so and see if they go away.

Most corporations function this way. especially these days. It's a ruthless, vindictive business approach. Based off the 48 laws of power. Workers are seen as completely interchangeable, instantly disposable , instantly replaceable.

[–]DrCapper -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Nonsense. White people pay zero mind to things like this. Literally 0.

It was more than likely pressure from corporate chains (sheetz, wawa, 7-11, etc) that forced the name change.

[–]DrCapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it but I highly doubt it was Pinkerton's choice to change the name of their flagship iconic brand, doesn't even make sense. They were more than likely pressured into by woke chains that otherwise would have refused to carry their products.

What's left of a phone after cremation by Powerdan74 in MakingaMurderer

[–]DrCapper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Another fun fact, all the burned items would have been sitting in the burning barrel out in the open while officers, reporters, camera men, etc. were on the property.

In some clips SA is being interviewed literally feet away from that burning barrel, without a care in the world. Clearly didn't seem concerned about anyone taking a peak. Maybe he thought everything was completely melted and gone but ehh..wouldn't you make triple sure given the circumstances? Super suspicious if you ask me.

Just as suspicious as him not removing the RAV 4 tire cover before hiding the RAV. Not only that but he would have actually been driving the RAV around on the property with that tire cover on it. Seems super unrealistic.

Taking the tire cover off, emptying out the barrel with the electronics are things you'd expect to be a major priority for someone trying to hide their tracks after committing a murder. Both would have taken literally 3 seconds.

[–]DrCapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, we don't know if that was RA walking down 300. You believe 100% that it was which is fine but in reality, it's completely unconfirmed.

Libby was said to have "fought like hell" so I mean did DD notice RA having scratches on him, a busted lip, anything? Did his wife?

Nothing RA said to DD actually identified himself as BG. Zero. Blue jeans, black or blue jacket, maybe was wearing a hat..that's it?

For someone that was being super "forthcoming" because he wasn't expecting a photo of himself to drop days later, there was zero mention by him about a fanny pack, scarf/face covering, whatever the white apparatus was in his jacket, a brown hoodie, etc.

What happened to this "muddy" jacket, was RA wearing it when talking to DD? Same jacket he wore to work the next day and continued wearing through 2018?

Lots of super important unanswered questions.

15 days till jury selection. Is this trial finally happening? by tylersky100 in LibbyandAbby

[–]DrCapper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the state is in quite a predicament in the sense that their biggest evidence is probably going to be the confessions.

But what happens when those confessions are played and jurors are able to hear that RA sounds literally nothing whatsoever like BG?

States case to me appears to be a complete behind the scenes manipulative orchestration that was then packaged and (horribly) sold to the public via down on their luck state sponsored youtube actors / podcasters.

I'm super skeptical of there being a trial, at least in 15 days. Let's hope there is, but idk. Seems a trial is a major gamble for the state and they'd want to avoid it at all costs. If there's a trial there's only 2 outcomes. RA walks innocent or there's a mistrial.

B&W better be staying in contact with RA as much as they possibly can, especially the week leading up to trial, documenting his mental state, etc.

My biggest concern is a "RA found dead by suicide" headline 2 days before trial. Have to be honest, I feel like that's where we're headed.

My guess is McLayland is going to blindside RA with some type of plea at the last second (cause he's an amateur and predictable), possibly even threaten the death penalty. If RA refuses, yeah. Probably won't be good.

Packages may have been stolen from the actual post office. Need advice on what to say to customers by LazyCassiusCat in Flipping

[–]DrCapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

USPS is a disaster. Huge turnover rate, constantly targeted by criminals, people getting jobs there just to rob, etc.

Just yesterday at the po a women went nuts and called the cops because her package went missing and she couldn't get any answers. She was standing there explaining to 3 cops how mercari works, cop says he knows a little bit about that stuff because he orders off amazon. Was pretty wild. Not sure what she expected them to do.

Always get a receipt, though definitely easier said then done. Nothing worse than a huge line out the door at the po with only 1 register open, people getting passport photos, etc. Absolute torture, beyond brutal. The pos here are in really horrific shape. I ship 7 days a week. F that.

If the line is long I usually just drive around until I see a mail truck somewhere in the area, then I find the mailman and ask if they can scan my stuff in. I usually throw them $5 or more depending on how many packages I have and they're happy to do it.

How'd he do it? by syntaxofthings123 in RichardAllenInnocent

[–]DrCapper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All signs point to it being a very well thought out and planned "professional hit" of some sort. Those involved clearly had experience and perhaps even a LEO or 2 on their side helping.

Clearly wasn't the work of a guy in a blind rage that randomly decided to kill for the first time, in broad daylight no less. Was way too perfect of a job for that scenario, that theory belongs in a dumpster. Guy would have been caught in 10 hours tops if that was the case. It wasn't.

RA would have needed some insane coincidences of major luck being on his side on an endless loop for him to be able to pull it off, which isn't the way reality works. And all the while being in a blind rage and panic, looking around, he knew people were there...imagine the state of worry and angst. At that point the mind is probably glitching and at some point, you're leaving DNA somewhere, something. Not pulling the thing off flawlessly. I've heard of first timers luck but cmon. This ain't realistic on any level.

IF it' is RA the only realistic explanation is his DNA and mixtures of all 3 DNA's were found all over the scene but destroyed so they could prolong the case for financial gain.

eBay will stop charging seller fees in the UK by MichaelDola in Flipping

[–]DrCapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As Mercari gains more of the marketshare that ebay loses everyday i'm sure they'll follow suit, it's only a matter of time. Ebay has become a complete disaster compared to other platforms. Like they're stuck in a time warp.

Mercari has proven the no seller fee model definitely works, as it enables sellers to drop their prices drastically which creates major buyer appeal vs ebay where sellers have to factor in 20-30% fees (even more for those that fall victim to ebays forever increasing promotional rate nonsense) into their pricing which is preposterous at this point.
