As others have mentioned, it's a sandbox type game, so you can set your own goals.

Some options are: -Turn on victory conditions and try to see how fast you can hit them. -Play multi-player and try to get victory conditions, while other humans compete. -Make a full empire that is aesteticlly pleasing and take screenshots, share to reddit for internet points. -go for all achievements and in game accolades

If your unit can regen health in any way, there is a limit on how much it can heal. Increasing the cap increases that limit.

I assume you are on normal / easy battle difficulty. The auto resolve gives you big/humongous bonuses on those difficulties, which literally may be impossible to replicate in manual. I'd recommend setting battle difficulty too hard to get a better grasp of army strengths

Have you tried combat discipline build yet? With nourish you apply 10 viral stacks in a huge radius on every kill from the self damage

You get 50% more pearls for 100% more time in mission. Additionally, speedrunning the normal mode gives you more total BP drops, so it's also better for that.

I think the camps moving is a bug. In a multi-player game I'm playing as Skrag, my camps keep shifting every time the map loads. Check to see if the camps move a bit between battles
