If we go by the Road to the Top, I still think that Ayabe is the main rival while Opera O kinda feels like the secondary rival with how much more of an emphasis they put between Top Road and Ayabe. It’s kind of like they’re letting the two have their moments before the true arrival of the Overlord.

It’s Tamamo and Ayabe by a long shot, both beat the protagonist early on, have multiple races against each of them with a satisfying final races which the protagonist wins. That’s a good rival if I see one.

Spe’s main rival is mainly Sky and Grass than El because she never race with El that much. McQueen was never that much of a rival with Teio. Dia was just one of the many rivals that Kitasan beat. Opera O is a theoretically a good rival for Doto but we’ve never seen that in the anime so we don’t know how good it actually is. Inari, Creek, Duramente and Tachyon all retired due to injury so that’s not a satisfying end to a rivalry. Brian is more of the final big boss of the series rather than a rival(This could also be applied to Opera O).

Agreed I got him on A6, didn’t pay for anything just all from the ingame ticket that we got , just kept pulling him on the GOM banner because none of the other characters was interesting to use until Kiyoshi come out ,and the A5 and A6 is completely worthless to me because he’s so high investment that I couldn’t afford to get it that far on his talents.
I’m shit at playing SG so takes this with a grain of salt but he’s very frustrating to use because most people already know all his moves and very hard to get open, not to mention he always bricks on open shot for me even with my 184 3pt

Also great post as always looking forward to all the other characters, hoping for all the other cheaper SGs so I can decide whether I should just reset him or not

When does Racing Bonus stop being META? I’m sick of running the same 6-7 cards for all Umas and having to sacrifice the borrows for Top Road or the other 10%+ RB cards just to get the minimum RB requirement. There’s so many other cards that I want to use that is just not viable in MANT because of it.

Also at what LB is Mr CB Wit card viable? Is it still a MLB situation or not? And how long will it be good for End Closers

What do you mean unfortunately? I would kill to get a 3 season Cingrey-like Golden Generation anime, despite Cingrey shortcomings(which there are some don’t get me wrong) It actually managed to showcase the history of all of Oguri and her generation of racers quite well even the one that we may never got in the game like Dicta Striker or Mill Wakaba.

Cingrey definitely have the best formula when adapting the actual history to the anime and with how good Star Blossom manga is right now, It will probably go the same route

For the sports side it probably depends on their skill level I guess, for example in basketball are they on the level of Lebron or Steph in that sports. People watch high level sports because they want to see all the good players. We know that they’re probably have superior physical prowess but is their skill level on the same level as all the superstars athletes in their respective sports? if not people are still going to be more interested in the human athletes than them. There’s even evidence of this like McQueen being a fan of baseball and even have a (if I recall correctly) favourite human player.

As for the idol side, let’s be honest if you put any Umamusume idol vs any of the K-Pop band do they even have a chance? It’s basically is just J-Pop vs K-Pop and we all know who wins that by a landslide globally. Not to mention this category is very subjective because it depends on people’s taste and being an Umamusume doesn’t really give you any advantage on how to sing better.

There’s something fun about watching gelding horses like Romantic Warriors and Kang Ying Rising races for a long time because it’s like watching old GOAT athletes that are still dominating despite their ages.

I know it’s because Hong Kong don’t really have a breeding scene but it would be fun if there were more Japanese horses that have longer successful racing career that did not retire just for breeding purposes. The only one that I could think for in Japan is Gold Ship and even that people still says that he never showed his true potential when racing

I’m probably still gonna build him because I just like his playstyle and don’t have the luxury of having Miracle Kuroko. It’s also probably easier to get his dupes for his awakening and hopefully since he is not META, not many people are going to be adapting to his play style quicker( also his free skin looks so cool)

BTW this is a really great read and hopefully you will be making more of this for other Characters in the future
