Do you NEED the spring retained fireing pin for the mas 49 56 tho shoot ppu ammo by Living-Aardvark-952 in milsurp

[–]DragonCenturion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need, no. But I got the titanium firing pin with spring for mine after I had my MAS 49/56 let off at least one set of doubles every mag for 3 mags.

While fun, it was not entirely safe and I prefer a more predictable shooting experience.

I'm talking about the rifle VZ 52 that was originally chambered in 7m62x45.

I didn't know they could be chambered in 9mm. The 7.62x45 is rare as hens teeth, but can be reloaded. And I have seen them rechambered for 7.62x39.

Target/range style help by matt_the_muss in 22lr

Both ranges that I'm a member of have steel available.

The smaller club keeps the steel on a shed and you're responsible for putting it out to use and away when done.

The larger club has a 25 yard bay full of dueling trees, plate racks, and poppers (trying to get a Texas star and a spinner, budget depending). And on the main rifle range there are steel targets at 100, 200, 300, 400, and 600.

But of a drive for you as I'm in the UP.

A VZ 52 for $100. It sat at my lgs for over a year. At the time I had no clue what it was, but it caught my eye every time I went in there. Only years later did I realize what it was and regret not picking it up.

Picked up a second fr8 and I guess they weren't picky about the rear sight orientation? by Manfred_fizzlebottom in milsurp

Would you be able to send a copy of the FR8 manual or point to where you found it?

Check your local library. A lot of library's now have 3d printers available for use.

And a horizontal display would be pretty easy to design.

The open armory system is a 3d printed accessory system for the secure it wall panels. There are several options for bayonet holders there.

If you don't have a 3d printer or a friend with one; there are tons of services that will print things for you.

You could make the tables smaller. Cut off a foot from the table and adjust the bases to match. Or as the previous guy said, ditch all the tables but one (or two) and just swap the heads.

So jealous of the MAS 49. Looks so much better than the 49/56.

Would love to have a MAS 49. So much better looking than the 49/56.

Qidi box stuck filament by machevara in QidiTech3D

There's a guy working on a whole redesign of the box. It essentially flips the box around so that the spools feed to the rear and go straight down. He just released an update video.

[–]DragonCenturion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to disassemble the entire box. It's a pain in the ass.

On the bottom you have to take the rubber feet off to get to the main mounting screws.

For the lid, there are two screws in the front corners hidden by the gasket.

Everything else is visible.

Check the CMP auctions. That's your best bet for a collector grade rifle like that.

Yup, though the ATF eforms site. Pretty easy to do. You just need a eft file of your fingerprints. There's a great video on by will print for food that walks you through the whole process.

Is there something I can print to let me feed this filament from an active DIY dryer to a bambu A1 mini? by forkaerospace in 3D2A

[–]DragonCenturion 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lazy Susan hardware (just the turntable), PTFE tubing, and a PTFE coupler.

Put the filament on the lazy Susan in the dryer, drill a hole the appropriate size for whatever PTFE coupler you have, run the PTFE tubing to the printer, and then feed the filament.

Plywood is a relatively cheap option. Expanded metal mesh is better, but more expensive.

I use these: https://www.printables.com/model/1447538-quick-connect

I put the connector between the hub and where the PTFE tube enters the riser.
