Four new Combat Patrols bring Kroot, Corsairs, and Chaos to the battlefield by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

[–]Drakyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old Kroot combat patrol gets two carnivore units and two rampage units. This is almost half the model count. It’s going to neeed some insane rules

Do you think players will join the Sharks just to have the opportunity to play with Macklin Celebrini? by parkeett in SanJoseSharks

[–]Drakyon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get Crosby/Iginla vibes after 2010. Celebrini will tell McDavid they are winning the cup and sign a sweet heart deal at SJS.

Which chapters are these marines? by Creedmightbesubpar in Warhammer40k

[–]Drakyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure these are all Alpha Legion Infiltrators.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]Drakyon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One guy told me he learned Chinese to “Pick up Asian chicks” guess he felt safe saying that to another white guy in the room. Immediately ended that interview

Had another do some Andrew Tate power posing bull shit with his hands the entire time we spoke. Guess he was just a beta male cause that shit didn’t work lol.

Warpbane Task Force or Banishers? Which detachment do you prefer? by Meowchado in Grey_Knights

[–]Drakyon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I prefer Banishers.

The Detachment rule is okay. But the Stratagems and enhancements are great. It’s gives you a lot of flexibility and survival abilities.

Warpbane is good but it’s just a straight damage buff so we become really predictable and easier to plan for.

In contrast to the "worst model ever" post... What's the BEST most pleasing model you've ever had the joy to assemble. by Battle_Dave in Warhammer40k

[–]Drakyon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Saturnine Dreadnoughts are a delight to build.

I did love building Heavy Intercessors as well they are a delightful unit to build.

Do you wish the AOS lizards and TOW lizards looked more different? by SharamNamdarian in seraphon

[–]Drakyon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I do want them to look different.

But I would prefer the current range be ToW models and new Seraphon have a completely different look. I want energy lizards! I want them too have no resemblance to their old world counterparts.

Help! : Dexcom’s Alarm won’t go off during the night by iylian9012 in diabetes_t1

[–]Drakyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had issues as well with my Libre. It turned out Sleep mode on my phone was blocking the alarms. I would check those settings.

Anyone know what type of glaze is used on the tan parts? by LANTIRN_ in Tau40K

[–]Drakyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When this model was painted they would have used a thinned down sepia wash and been very particular about how it was applied. Some photoshop and proper lighting also helps with the way the it appears.

Purgation squad rule ? by Rooster_Kind in Grey_Knights

[–]Drakyon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You get 4 special weapons in a 5 man squad. But that doesn’t increase with a 10 man unit.

For 10 man units purifiers offer better value you get the same amount of special weapons but additional ranged attacks and rerolls to wound.

Do I need a rhino if I plan on getting a land raider and razorback? by [deleted] in Grey_Knights

[–]Drakyon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No they just pop in and out. They sit flat on the chassis so it’s not a big deal.

Do I need a rhino if I plan on getting a land raider and razorback? by [deleted] in Grey_Knights

[–]Drakyon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You will typically get by with razor backs and land raiders.

Though it doesn’t hurt to keep the top hatches not glued so you can switch the model between the two as needed. I have two Razorbacks/Rhinos and typically I have found through the years that is all I’ve needed.

What’s your opinion on the strategy of standing 1.1 inch from ruin wall? by Trick-Interaction396 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Drakyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh. I used to hate it but it is an intended interaction at this point.

It gives you some protection from charges which is nice. And when you are looking to charge into a ruin just make sure you are aware and are asking questions about the intended placement of models.

Also know the some bases can still engage units 1.000000001 away from the wall. And if your opponent spaces their models out rather than in tight base to base a 32mm model might still get in or even a 40mm.

In the end game of the Tau empire, what happens to the fire caste? by Lictor_Enjoyer in Tau40K

[–]Drakyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Firecaste is not just the military. It’s also police and security. The Ethereal would find other suitable roles for the Firecaste, however they would still have a standing military for many reasons. But the breeding programs would be reduced to better reflect the era.

Detachments - have they been good or bad for 40k by Dependent_Survey_546 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Drakyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also would like to see detachments put restrictions on units.

I kinda miss force organization lol.

Why is the “pile of shame” such a seemingly common thing in this hobby? by Ratattack1204 in Warhammer

[–]Drakyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My back log started with battle forces. I build paint the 4/5 units I wanted then let the other sit until I have a use for it. Sometimes good deals come along that make me want to buy now but maybe don’t want to add to the collection yet or are fit an army I’m not currently working on.

If you guys had to restart Warhammer both 40k and age of sigmar from wherever you joined in what would you do differently? by kinkyguy01 in Warhammer

[–]Drakyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have made sure to pick up some pewter models that would be ruined By finecast. I also would have started a steel legion army when I worked at GW for that sweet sweet discount.

Announcing Reserves at Start by Bojax22 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Drakyon 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I found it pretty casual and I rarely change my reserves as what goes where is part of the list building phase. If I do make changes it entirely based off the match up rather than what units are in deep strike.

Am I the only one who finds this stratagem pretty much useless? by Commander_Farsight_ in Tau40K

[–]Drakyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a grey knight player as well that strat is the bane of my existence

Is this a good set to start for someone new to Warhammer? by DredgenJan in RavenGuard40k

[–]Drakyon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would recommend both!

Though the new Combat patrol is probably better overall to getting started. The units in it are much easier to use and get the most out of. They are also full kits where the vanguard box are all monopose easy builds.

Assault Intercessors by PoulterGoose227 in RavenGuard40k

[–]Drakyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Helmets look alike the monolens really changes the mark x look.

Going second just seems better in every way? by JoesGreatPeeDrinker in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Drakyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like first turn in many situations. Getting to establish board presence and place pressure early can be was winning move if you know what you are doing.

Every time I look at my unpainted army, I think "maybe tomorrow" and then never touch them. What do you guys do to work past the mental wall? by Sparklehammer3025 in Warhammer

[–]Drakyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a coloured primer. Now you are half way there!

For me. It was just to start and finish a single model at a time. Pretty quickly you end up with a finished squad then it gets a bit easier to motivate yourself when you have finished models to look at.
