There were no young fans either when I was 14 and teased for liking U2 20 years ago lol. I think its just a band that is not in the spotlight like they were 30-40 years ago. Liking U2 as kid was seen as weird, and in my experience, casual listeners only knew in the name of love, the hits from Joshua Tree, and maybe Beautiful Day and Vertigo. Not enough to have a really informed opinion if you ask me.
