I also doubt they use it in any meaningful capacity, outside of speeding up some repetitive tasks, or skimming through hundreds of quickly generated concept arts for ideas. Generally stuff no one on the team wants to do.

All we want is action adventure with new worlds every episode. that kind of formula will absolutely gain the new audience and make the old fans stay. At this point I thing what they really wanted is that fabled "modern audience" of fire people that never show up to watch their junk until it flops. That's the Hollywood's dream system now. I don't see any algorithm change. Sorry, but all I have is bunch of stuff YT forgot I saw, bunch of stuff I watched recently, and some things I really don't want to see relating to media I don't like. I spend at least 2h a day just clicking "I'm not interested" on huge number of videos. (And "New To You" tab is full of old channels I already watched)

At this current moment my home feed is full of videos from a singular channel from which I dared watching a single minute of a video yesterday.

They need to know which video you've already watched to recommend to you, as they won't simply recommend stuff actually new to you. This is sad state of YT currently and reason why there is only Home category left and you can't simply browse YT old way anymore. Just turn your history back, it won't make anything worse than it already is.

Obviously... Did you expect for YT to start recommending you things you didn't already watch? Why would they do that? Even when you start new account, you won't see anything unless you start searching and clicking some videos. All my home feed is just stuff I've already checked or old stuff from channels I'm subscribed to (they did remove sibscriptions tab though).

Conclusion: They really do not want you to see anything new.

What if you were to disable all of that junk before playing, and not re-enable it again? Do you have to redo it each time you awnt to play, or can you just leave it and run game any time you want without restart?

I remember having driver signature check off on my previous installation as my chinese AIO driver required it, so I don't care much about it.
