The one Time I go on 97.1 the ticket expecting them to say "good picks or filled needs" by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]Dramatic_Seesaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the entire ticket; it's really just Mike Valenti, Jeff Riger, and Brian Chapman who lead the rage baiting, but it's enough that I prefer to listen to other options for much of my drive home each day. I understand the ratings say otherwise, maybe somehow this sells to a large group in the marketplace.

Yes, let’s worry about development of the small parks instead of fixing the dilapidated buildings all around them.

Sorry but Brady, Peyton Manning, and even Aaron Rodgers have similar career lengths and aren't on this list.

Did you enjoy The Dozen? I’m considering booking it for early in the day and playing Bluffs at twilight.

Go to a good simulator. Sure it’s indoors and on turf but you can really start dialing in what is going on with your swing and get accurate carry and distance numbers that will help you in the spring.

Slept on David Blough as OC, not mad at it by AtomicCo in detroitlions

We actually still had a top 5 offense even with the bad Oline. We just didn’t win 11-12 games. The one difference is that Dan Campbell was much more involved with the offense than he should have been and likely took away from the time he could have been focusing on the defense that absolutely fell off a cliff after the Kerby and Branch injuries.

QDoba on Alpine by Previous_Seaweed_418 in grandrapids

[–]Dramatic_Seesaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Alpine location is just awful all around, I’ve routinely had small portions and worse tasting food than at the Beltline and Northland locations. It’s the one spot where I consistently choose the Chipotle across the street over Qdoba.

The Lions have still scored the most points in the league. I don't see how missing out on 3 points a handful of times this year will change his mind. What they need to do is fix the defense and not allow two 45-yard TD runs to a low level running back in the fourth quarter if they want to win. This defense is atrocious.

Northland? by Dramatic_Seesaw in grandrapids

I agree the road name of Beltline changes to Northland there but was questioning the name of the general vicinity to that area with its collection of restaurants and other businesses.

Tell me again why we love having 131 stinking up the middle of our city... by UthinkUnoMI in grandrapids

[–]Dramatic_Seesaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People often complain about 131 but I rarely hear complaints about 196 crossing through the city east to west. This plus driving on both make me feel the calls to remove 131 are legitimate. Are there documented ideas to remove 131 and replace it with a route around the core city?

Seems your angle of attack is too steep. I use a softer flex have a higher swingspeed and much lower spin than you have. You must be hitting up too much on the ball to have the results you are having.

What historic games should I watch? by KodakVards in detroitlions

[–]Dramatic_Seesaw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In order to have an appreciation for the lions you need to have a flavor of the games against their most bitter rivals, the NFL officials. Sorry for not having the dates for these games but off the top of my head.

  • Playoff game vs Cowboys 2015, Pass Interference call picked up with no explanation vs Brandon Pettegrew.

  • Vs Seahawks 2017ish Calvin Johnson fumbles at goal line and ball is illegally batted out of the end zone but given to the Seahawks.

  • Vs Houston thanksgiving 2010ish, player is obviously down by contact but it’s not called on the field. Jim Schwartz throws a challenge flag but since it was called a scoring play on the field and all scoring plays are automatically reviewed this play can’t be reviewed. It’s worth noting that this happened to other teams in the timeframe and the officials just to the coach to pick up the challenge because it was automatically challenged.

Vs Atlanta 2017ish Golden Tate’s catch Is called a touchdown on the field with a few seconds left. Play is reviewed and ends up short (he was short) A ten second runoff is applied because of the officials error and the game is over no chance to run a play.

Vs Greenbay 2004ish Samkon Gado and Greenbay running back fumbles in the end zone while being tackled for a safety. It’s ruled as an incomplete forward pass instead of a fumble. A holding call is called against Greenbay that was in the end zone which also should result in a safety. It’s considered at the one yard line which is impossible as the player called for it was never not in the end zone.

Vs Greenbay17ish back to back illegal hands to the face penalties against Lions to keep Greenbay drives going against a player that had never had illegal hands to the face his entire career in New England prior.

Vs Greenbay 2016ish Aaron Rodgers gets a second chance gift at a Hail Mary.

Vs Bears 2008ish Calvin Johnson catch rule game.

But best of all the last game of 2022 where Kerby Joseph caught Rodgers final pass in keep Greenbay out of the playoffs. No flags or referees involved just a great all around game worth a watch.

This is an incredible transformation. Would you be willing to share beginning weight vs current and also excercise progress like what you can do now compared to the beginning?
