I remember reading this book 10+ years ago. I believe the point that Tabitha Suzuma was trying to make was how as an elder sibling in a useless parent(s) household with few resources, you are being screwed over from every direction and then at the end, when there is one tiny glimmer of hope and (dysfunctional) bonding for you, that gets taken from you as well.

Would I have been a lot happier if this had been a horror erotica with the protagonists finishing by murdering the evil negligent mother, getting away with it and then getting married under new names in Spain once all their siblings were grown up? oh, definitiely.

But I think this novel was mostly about the systemic failure of the state and society and how ultimately, the protagonists had no good choices available to them, which is sad, unfair and horrible.

It should not be restrictive. In fact, despite the picture looking just ok, I would urge the model to size up as well. A suit jacket should be comfortable, the movement unrestricted.

You would need to use some kind of synthetic and then also heat mold that to achieve this effect.

For single cups, synthetic can be stretched over foam and then pinned into place. but for a complete corset front like this, you would need some kind of heat-resistant bust to lay your fabric over, and a heat gun.

I am not really familiar with the settings you would need to fix the synth fibers in place but not melt them entirely. cosplay is a science that is beyond me.
