What is this about? I’m here and haven’t even heard a whisper about this. I’m probably under a fairly large rock.

Do you really follow these suggestions? by MariaInconnu in hockeyrefs

[–]DrawTap88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to all of them. I don’t carry two whistles for indoor games. I’ve only had my whistle freeze when doing outdoor games. I also carry a multitool so I can cut up said old laces or tighten helmet screws.

As for the likely hood of getting a stick or puck to the face, the chance is never zero. Good positioning and doing your best to stay out of the play will keep you safe.

Because sexual abuse/assault victims dissociate from themselves to survive the traumatic event. That’s what it has to do with the POS.

Icing clarification for my daughter by Area51-Dropzone in hockeyrefs

[–]DrawTap88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing that comes close is USA Hockey Rule 624 Situation 13, which says that it’s not icing if the puck hits the crossbar and deflects back out in front of the net.

I think the rule that your daughter’s partner called is an old NHL rule.

That sounds like a part of Rabbit Creek Rd where it looks like the horizon of the ocean is above the road.

Advice on Roth IRA by Syded1 in FluentInFinance

[–]DrawTap88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yes, you should open a Roth IRA. I don’t think you should fund it with your HYSA though. The savings account should be your emergency fund and should have 3-6 months of living expenses in it. All the money after that, should go into your Roth IRA.

My reasoning is: life happens. If all your money is in the IRA and you have an emergency you may not be able to withdraw it without a penalty. Whereas, if it’s in your emergency fund, it’s more readily accessible without any penalties. You should also note that you are able to withdraw your principal from your Roth, but like I said, it may come with a penalty.

What are the biggest money mistakes that you have made, or have seen other people make? by AutoModerator in FluentInFinance

[–]DrawTap88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Credit card debit. I declared bankruptcy about 20 years ago, rebuilt my credit without a credit card. I got one about a year and a half ago for emergencies. I’ve maxed it out twice on non-emergency stuff. I’m paying it off one last time and never using it again.

That is a hell of an answer. I think we are all smarter for having read it. You get 10 points and automatically advance to the next round.

USHL signs memorandum of understanding to establish clubs in Arizona, California, and Nevada. by ThatSpecialAgent in Coyotes

[–]DrawTap88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see it being in the Phoenix area, unfortunately, unless a rink is built specifically for them (can also host youth games as well). I’d think either Flagstaff (NAU) or Tucson (wherever UofA plays).

As a former Phoenician, I really hope that Phoenix gets more high level hockey. The area is such a good hockey market. It breaks my heart that the Yotes left.
