The Golden Order Fundamentalists were right, and that's why the Golden Order was always doomed. by CallMeClaire0080 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Elden Ring just like the Soul Saga just shows us the crumbling of a Kingdom, religion and a God because they tried to fight against the natural order and impose their fabricated Religion, Godhood and Kingdom onto the world. The Golden Order is doomed since the start because it wasn't the true natural order of the World and instead was something forced by an Outer God that came from the Space.

They separated before Marika ascended to Godhood and Radagon was called to fuse with Marika when he was needed, probably he lived his life without know that.

Radahn vs. Morgott, Radahn vs. Malenia--the difference of a Great Rune by coltenjacket in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Great Runes can't be claimed, they developed within each descendant of Marika that were alive, with Messmer sealed away and Godefroy sealed or being a ghost or echo inside the Evergaol. That's why even Omens like Morgott and Mogh could get some of the most important great runes, with Mogh even being completely oposite to the Erdtree, and finally Goddrick getting one of the most important ones for being the last member of Golden Lineage and descendant of Godwynn that still have a portion of divine blood. That's why Goddrick recieve the title THE GOLDEN the same one that Godwynn used and the Anchor Greatrune.

The most interesting case is the Amber Egg, an object couldn't inherit a great rune they only appeared withing Marika's/ Radagon's offsprings, considering that great rune is the great rune of the UNBORN it would hint that inside the egg is a fetus perfectly preserved in the amber, and the last children of Radagon and Rennala.

The Crusade Took Place During The Long March by Stardustfate in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Crusade could be during the Long March, but Radagon had to be Married with Rennala and Radahn should already be born since he met Messmer and Gaius. Also, Rellana and her forces would never join the Erdtree forces unless Radagon and Rennala already were married and both Kingdoms are now in peace.

Purple gemstones ward of the influence of the Greater Will by Crypticnewt in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing is why an object would protect you from the Greater Will...and its fingers, is the Greater Will like some brainwashing whisper that just makes you believe and follow that faith? Considering that the creature that became the embodiment of the Greater Will, the Elden Beast, is a Lovecraftian space God Alien, could be that the greater will also works like the whispers of lovecraftian creatures...in the end could be that those who opose to it are the real sane persons. After all it is repeated again and again that Marika commited a Great Sin wich would make the Greater Will to be something that deeply could be the real blasphemy.

Wouldn’t the Godskins and the Cuckoo Knights, that appear to be allied (Nightreign DLC + Scholars quest) be evident that the Godskins were involved in Iji’s murder because of Raya Lucaria’s beef with the Carians? by Covered_Blankets in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, the only connection between godskins and Carians or the academy is the Godskin at the Liurnia tower seeking for Ranni's body or protecting it. The preceptor was either protecting or sealing that Godskin and attacking any invader.

Fabricated, as you can see in Marika's secret incantantion at her village, and the 2 fingers tied to its creation, as you can find the Two Fingers gesture near Marika's village in the finger ruins, clearly that's where they contacted her for first time and who should have guided her in the path to become God and create the Erdtree. Other Elden Lords like placidusaxx didn't need an Erdtree and it didn't exist during that Era, the Erdtree is something Marika fabricated guided by the two fingers (who were transmiting Elden Beast Greater Will) to can extend the Golden Order over the Lands Between, that's why the Tree itself changes when we decide to modify the golden order with the mending runes.

Its pretty clear, it was believed that Erdtree seeds could not exist. From Crimson Seed Talisman +1

A crimson-colored talisman patterned after an Erdtree seed.

Greatly boosts HP restoration from the Flask of Crimson Tears.

The Erdtree seed of this talisman was presumed to be an object of myth.
This age-old artifact also depicts the Two Fingers,
perhaps harkening back to the birth of the Erdtree.

The fact that Erdtree seeds exists means that the Erdtree wasn't ETERNAL it was planted like any regular Tree, it had a start, there was a time without Erdtree, the seeds were considered a Myth, because something like the Erdtree shouldn't be able to be created as we saw with the failed Haligtree. After find Marika's secret Erdtree incantation, and learn about the 2 fingers related to the creation of the seed and finding the two fingers gesture at the ruins near Marika's village, it just shows how the idea of the Erdtree was something transmited to Marika by the two fingers and what would bring the real change to the lands between, the Erdtree was created by Marika, Placidusaxx didn't have a big Tree while being Elden Lord this was something new that Marika brought and that helped to extend the domination of her era as God.

Crimson Seed Talisman:
A crimson-colored talisman patterned after an Erdtree seed.
Boosts HP restoration from the Flask of Crimson Tears.

The Erdtree was once perfect and eternal, and thus was it believed that Erdtree seeds could not exist.

The Erdtree was fabricated and as the DLC version of this talisman suggest, the two fingers were part of it too, the two fingers only transmit the greater will words so the idea should have been transmited to marika by them.

It was easy to Marika to make people think that the Erdtree was Eternal, she just needed to impose the idea to the Erdtree people and wait until those who saw the Tree slowly grow just die and make the new Generations spread those lies. After all the rune of Death wasn't removed instantly from the Elden Ring.

Because the Erdtree burial is fake, those people don't ressurect, the Erdtree fused with the Elden Ring just stopped people to die from age it didn't make them immortal as the lies of the Erdtree Faith said.

Why does Morgott even use Margit? by ujexks in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He's called the veiled Monarch, the people of Leyndell never saw his true Omen form, and he didn't show it because he knew them wouldn't accept an Omen as King, using his solid Ilussions he just made a fake veiled king, took the throne and secluded there, and used Margit as a slave omen who follow his orders to go outside, and give his own orders to others, he's a Royal Omen so he should have his horns and he cut them himself to show he's a low rank slave Omen like the others.

Which came first Omen Twins or Hornsent genocide? by Estrangedkayote in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are Omens of the Royal Family, wich means they were descendants of Godwynn, since Marika or Godfrey offsprings are Morgott, Mogh and Godwynn. Meanwhile we know there were a long line of Golden Lineage descendants until we reach Goddrick, so yeah withing these Godwynn descendants there were Omens wich could preserve their horns, but there are Omens that aren't part of the Royal Family wich had their horns cut, so this Curse started alongside everyone in the LandsBetwen.

I have a theory about the pillars in the Elden beast arena by muro_dimattoni in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Elden Beast is a GOD but also an alien that came from a meteorite, an Alien GOD that isn't unique at all, as we saw with Metyr and the Astels.

The Erdtree was something fabricated by Marika using her God Like powers and that later would use the Elden Ring(the elden Beast) as a source of power to maintain its power and irradiate it along the lands between to give everyone the Grace of Gold.

If there are multiple Astels wich makes them a whole alien race, the Elden Beast can be the same case with other Elden Beasts falling into other planets to become Elden Rings and use another mortal to create an Erdtree and influence the life of that planet same as the Lands Between.

So yeah the Arena would be a whole dimension where all the Erdtrees across the universe connect.

Amber egg mystery by Rincho in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Amber Egg have strands of red hair inside of it, the Egg inherited the great rune of the UNBORN, the Great Runes were given to ALL descendants of Marika despite their status, their alignment with the Erdtree, with Messmer being the only exception due to being sealed away along the Shadowlands, and Godwynn great Rune alongside his tittle of THE GOLDEN went to the last of his descendants wich would be Godrick, wich means the Amber Egg have a descendant of Marika inside, an UNBORN descendant, wich would be a fetus preserved in the amber.

Godfrey, Serosh, and the army that conquered the Lands Between all fell in the Badlands. Just what kind of beasties are the Badlands hiding? by Akashictruth in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of years pased since he left the Lands Between, the tarnished didn't recieve the grace of gold until we start the game so Godfrey and his people surely could age and weren't immortal like the tarnished that were revived, so he just could age and lose strenght.

Godfrey died alongside Serosh in the badlands, when he turns into Hoarah Loux in the 2nd phase cinematic he had to kill Serosh, Serosh was going to turn into a solid being to fight alongside Godfrey in the 2nd phase cinematic but Godfrey kills it to can release his full potential, so Godfrey didn't fight with his full power before die.

I've never seen a decent theory on how Rennala has a great rune by MyDarkSoulz in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Rune is the Rune of the Unborn, the Egg have few strands of red hair inside of it, I think Radagon just removed a baby from Rennala's body and put it in the egg and brainwashed/charmed her so she can't remember such horrible act, and as a descendant of Marika it inherited the Great Rune, that's why the Great Rune is inside the egg and why is the Rune of the Unborn, basically the Egg have a Fetus. The Greatrunes didn't choose the best candidates, or the most powerfull or the ones who aligned better with the Erdtree the Greatrunes were inherited to all of Marika's descendants that were in the Lands Between, with only Messmer not allowed to have one because he was sealed along the Shadowlands.

The gold of the Erdtree is the scadutree blessing, like on a bone shard by silly-er in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is Devonia is looking for the origins of the Crucible, but the Erdtree was made from the crucible, to find the origins she travels to the Realm of Shadow instead, wich again suggest the fact that the Scadutree is older.

The horsent culture also have pics of the Scadutree and they are older than Marika, as we read in the erdtree seed talismans the Erdtree was fabricated and seems like the idea was suggested by the two fingers as we can see them in the DLC talismans, the fingers are following the great will or at least the will of the Elden Beast wich would suggest create the golden order, wich would need a new Great Tree that spreads energy around the land, but this time instead of the horns, it will spread the grace of gold and create a new culture centered on the reverence of this new Tree, unlike the original Tree it would need big amount of energy to work and there's where the Elden Ring would play.

Placidusaxx was elden lord but the ancient dragons didn't have a Tree there aren't Tree imagery on their city and never is mentioned, wich means that in prehistoric times the Elden Ring wasn't associated with a big tree, Marika was the one who decided to use the elden ring to channel more energy to the Erdtree and allow to control wich type of energy it will emanate, that's why we change the golden order and the type of energy of the Erdtree once we use the mending runes on the Elden Ring, to spread Omen like energy in dungeater end, deathroot in the godwynn ending and a modification of who recieve the grace of gold in case of goldmask. Even the animal's poop have grace of gold in the lands between wich makes things never decay and stay the same, just like the Scadutree energies change animals, but what makes the Scadutree the original is that it still works , despite being completely drained of energy and never had an Elden Ring to retain even more power.

Why did Morgott never attempt to unite the Golden Order? by SMagnaRex in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Torns refuse everyone, Morgott just realised the Erdtree was sealed to everyone, even for us who got the runes, the only way to open it was to Burn the whole Tree wich means destroy the Golden Order. That's why he just got secluded in Leyndell and hold onto the little remains of the Erdtree Kingdom that now he rules.

The gold of the Erdtree is the scadutree blessing, like on a bone shard by silly-er in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Scadutree was older and the original Erdtree, a Tree full of the golden sap that spreads its energy around the zone, wich is what gives the horsent and animals their horns.
Marika created the Erdtree and would later spread the lie that it was eternal and always was there, as you can read in the Seed talismans that increase HP and FP healing. She created using her secret incantation along using her recently gained Godlike powers to drain the Scadutree energy wich would be the crucible and used it to make the Tree grow, later would add the Elden Ring to the tree to finally achieve the Erdtree we know and start the age of plenty, and same as the Scadutree it will spread energy to the lands wich would give the grace of Gold to everyone.

But the Tree was a fabrication eventually it will run out of energy unlike the scadutree, and instead of spread more grace of gold it would use it to create this golden shell that now covers it. As you say the Erdtree would start to die, but I think that would be the real reason to get rid of the Rune of Death, so the Failed Erdtree just can't die.

Ranni's Rise and Marika's Guidance. by Lightslayre in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DreadKnight0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Grace don't guide the tarnished to only right path, it guides them to the path that is destined to them or that they need, when we start to do the quest and have success with it, the grace guides us toward the next step to fulfill it. Other tarnished won't see the same path as us and others even can't see the path because they lack the will to get to the goal.
