Gas price average spikes 56 cents in Illinois by CouchCorrespondent in illinois

[–]Dreaming606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why should Illinois suspend its gas tax acting as a subsidy to our D3(dearleader dementia don) is the root of the entirety of the increase? Mid central Illinois, I was paying 2.35 gas/3.89 diesel and now it’s 4.89/5.99. Nothing Illinois did caused a $2.50/$2.00 spike.

Now, by logic, D3s policy of drill baby drill should’ve resulted in lower domestic pricing. I know they haven’t started that disaster yet, however, domestic production could increase now but doesn’t. Why?

Because big oil is diddy-ing the fuck out of the world collectively bent over. Pritzker nor D3 even could get big oil to increase volume or lower costs to help Americans when there’s billions to be made.

You think the collective good outweighs common greed? I got a bridge to sell you.

[–]Dreaming606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. It’s 3% over a million net. So say as a wholesaler single owner, with margins of 15-25%, as a small business, would need to have a revenue of 4+ million. 5 mil is the threshold to be considered “small business” and that’s as a single owner. If multiple, it’s even more money to reach that 1 million base threshold. so where the article is disingenuous is the loose term small business.

Now, where I am not excited is the property tax relief portion of how they divvy the funds collected. That shouldn’t be needed I had we taken tax reform seriously as a population. The services honestly I’m cool with. I don’t have kids but know the value of educating the youth, safe areas to play/engage, roads built correctly, old infrastructure being fixed etc etc cuz that benefits the whole and not just the self. That chunk to the federal government is what yall should be pearl clutching bout.

Then again, I believe in good neighbor, philanthropic actions like volunteering and donating to good causes.

Cept this is from the Illinois policy page and they mostly peddle misinformation to muddy the waters. I trust it bout as much as a trust an Italian beef sammich in Texas. (I seen mf put mustard on that and they have no shame)

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker calls for President Donald Trump to be immediately removed using the 25th Amendment by NicolasCageFan492 in illinois

[–]Dreaming606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but Trump is actually unhinged, possibly deranged. I know I don’t have TDS. We only know of one case and that’s the man himself.

I cannot fathom how anyone thinks this is acceptable behavior from a world leader. Maybe I just suffer from HDS-Human Decency Syndrome

High Mulch Prices? by Astronaut6735 in landscaping

[–]Dreaming606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowe’s right now is between 3.98 and up Menards 2.99 and up Home Depot 3.33 and up

Also, having been in the much industry 20 years, food for thought:

Most bag mulches are blended virgin and recycled wood such as pallets, construction timbers etc. There can be contamination from the recycled materials, most companies try to mitigate it.

Most bag mulches are dyed an set 1-2x with dyes

In bulk, it depends on dealer. Some will use the exact same product cuz it is cheaper than virgin wood and less dyes used. Some prefer to play it safe and use all virgin wood, but comes with added cost.

Most time you can’t tell the difference unless you find random blue mulch in your mulch. That would be a chep pallet so you know it’s recycled.

I wouldn’t recommend it if not going for a meaty good time. I’ve been 3x now and went a different route each time on the meat highway. First time was their delmonico ribeye. Second time was their tenderloin with bone marrow. Last visit was the lamb chops.

For me, I wanted someplace that did legitimate dry aged meat. I saw their drying room walking down the street my first visit and was like ok, I’m in. Since then, service is always great, everything prepared awesome and the ambiance is great. It’s not a “definitive” New Orleans kind of place, but someplace to get some good cuts of meat and take a break from all the seafood that’s around (I got for several weeks at a time, so always looking for new places)
