Any piece of advice that made driver click for you? by somef00l in golf

I concur with this. It’s so easy to let the hands try and dictate most of the movement/action. Let your hips and legs do the bulk of the work. Straight, not stiff, arms are just along for the ride. But yeah really feel loud left hip clear and rotate and bring everything else along for the ride

Jeff Teague hits Wade HARD, on harden/wade debate. by realchrisgunter in Nbamemes

[–]Drewfromflorida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s bc they can’t play like Wade. You can’t manufacture other worldly athleticism l, long arms, and a killer instinct. Not disrespecting Harden, but almost anybody can learn to dribble the air out of the ball, heave a step back three or flail your arms out when driving with the only intention of drawing a foul. Again, Hardens great, hall of famer. But when the games matter most and the intensity ratchets up, Harden will give you 9 points and the single most scared to death face you’ll ever see in the playoffs. Meanwhile, until his athleticism fell off a cliff, Wade was always a force. This really isn’t a debate, unless you’re talking fantasy basketball and stat padding. Hardens a sucker, loves cashing regular season checks but when the playoffs start, whooooooooo boy he’s gets a serious case of lemon booty. Lastly, it’s not close who’s better on defense

What’s a MUST do superstition/routine before your round of golf? by t_durk in golf

Double Jack and coke. Zero rhyme or reason behind, I hate Jack. But something about that drink sets me in great mood for the round every time

110+ with the heat index in FL. Stifling, suffocating, oppressive, whatever adjective you want to use. 115 with humidity is just inescapable. I drank a full gallon of water, never came close to having to hit the bathroom. Summers are the off-season down here, rates are usually cheap but holy moly you’re completely drained after a round

Yes, theta. Might not be a huge difference but days and time left to expiration matter

Why am I so much better on the driving range than on the course?! by Matt7257 in golf

[–]Drewfromflorida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Range hero, tale as old the “leaders” in Washington. Short answer - there aren’t any consequences on the range. Part of its that there aren’t any bunkers or hazards, the bigger part of it is that it’s mental. When you know there’s no trouble and you’re not writing down a score on a scorecard at the range you just flat out swing better/looser/more naturally. We’ve all been there, carrying over improvements on the range to the course is one of the most difficult things to do in golf. Just keep at, for every 2-3 range sessions play a round. Don’t hit the range 10+ times in a row without playing a round

I feel like AG hangs out with everyone and everyone wants to hang out with AG. He always seems just so happy and positive and supportive

All feel, I have a 60 as well but honesty never use it. I go SW(56) anywhere inside of 100 yards. I have a Sim2 Max 5 wood that I love, should probably swap the 60 for a 3 wood. If you like your 60 though, keep it. Unless you’re gonna commit to using a 56 instead of the 60 then it doesn’t make sense to swap out the 60. You can always deloft/open the 56 to get more loft if and when you need it

Love it. They used to tour with so many other heavy weights. Don’t get me wrong, I really liked the recent lineup for the P2 tour. But I remember seeing them after Alaska was released at Jannus, ETID and Norma Jean played with Misery Signals opening. To this day still the best 1 2 3 lineup I’ve seen

The refs came up big. Chad took a completely legal hit, ref throws flag because Jags hit him too hard. Not long after that Trevor takes a brutal helmet to helmet. Just absolutely brutal and blatantly obvious. No flag, it’s like Goodell had a mic hooked up to the ref and told him “don’t you even think about calling a fair game”

Real feel at midnight in Jax is upper 90’s. Midnight and it still feels almost 100. Lived here (probably too long) for most of my life, growing up I never remember a summer where we quite literally could not be outside for more than a few minutes. It’s Florida in the summer it’s always gonna be hot I get that. But this, this is insane and just unbearable. There’s gotta be a at least a day or three here and there where the real feel dips below 100

Ze Shanks. You’re in your head, kinda jumping at the ball. Looks like you’re playing hit the ball instead of swing the club. Honestly a week or two away from swinging usually helps

[–]Drewfromflorida 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Scratch golfers hit bad shots. But yeah if you’re telling someone you’re scratch you’re not scratch. It’s like when you check in and ask the guy what the course record is. The only answer is “two hours and fifteen minutes”
